I was referred to this by another B&B that was full - it's always good to get a safe local recommendation. I'd have preferred to give a Good rating, but TA only have Average and Very Good. The bed is comfortable, the room an adequate size, the bathroom to a good modern B&B standard. The heating goes off at night... More

Location not easy to find good 30 min walk to centre Dublin.Landlady I felt was not too welcoming. Rooms clean but very small had wardrobe with no doors rolled over in bed and fell in wardrobe lol. Shower room and toilet built in room but good shower. Floorboards upstairs creak as do beds hear every noise people coming and going... More

Having travelled extensively, I feel I can say with a certain authority that Dublin is one of the friendliest and most welcoming cities in Europe. The hospitality I have experienced at Doheny House contributes to my opinion: Conji and his wife are great hosts, always ready to help but never uber-present, will make sure that you get exactly the breakfast... Have never stayed in a B&B before this was my first experience of one. I must say I'm not a fan, but this isn't because it was a bad experience at Doheny House, just more that I'm a hotel person! We had stayed in central Dublin the night before, so found this a little far out in comparison. Easily found... More

This is a great place to stay! Not only is it easy to get around by foot because of it's location, but Con&Catherine Hurley are wonderful! The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast area is like eating outdoors. Will stay again next time in Dublin.

Doheny's B&B was a great way to start our Ireland vacation. Catherine is friendly and helpful. We asked her for resstaurant recommendations and her choices were spot on -- The Pepper Pot at Powerscourt and Cornucopea on Exchequor Street. Any question we had, she was happy to answer. The room was small but clean and bright; hot water plentiful, and... More

This B&B was just right when ur family of seven adults visited Dublin. It is located a bit off the beaten track in a quiet street, it is very clean and the hosts are friendly and helpful. Our rooms were not huge but very adequate and all had their own small bathrooms. The showers were very noisy with instant hot... More

No problems here ... better than previous reviews suggested. Proprietors were nice and helpful. This was November, and it was nice and warm. Breakfast filled us up. Just make sure your booking is taken properly though!

The room was clean and we had a good rest at night! Bathroom was ensuite and also clean. Close to St. Stephens Green, you're there within a 10-15 minute walk. The breakfast was good; cereal, toast, jams, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, jus d'orange and water. The owner of the B&B is really kind, we had a lovely talk with her during... More
