We stayed at the Avoca house this weekend and I can truly say I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay. Our whole stay we felt at home, we was looked after so well, Jack and Audrey was the best hosts. It was like staying with family or friends. They made sure we had everything we needed... More

The B&B of Audrey and Jack is well located, not too far from the center, in a calm neighborhood. You can visit the Glasnevin cemetery and the Botanic garden by foot, it's just 10 minutes walking to get there. The bus stop 13,16,or 11 is just 5 minutes away from the house and it takes you directly to the center... More

I’d booked Avoca (months in advance) for two specific reasons: 1) They advertize “Wi-Fi is available in all areas and is free of charge.” and 2) They had a ‘Deluxe King Size’ room available with “Bed size: 71 by 82 inches wide.” This was perfect because when I travel, I need to be in touch with clients and my staff... A three night stay here, initially chosen on price and location. Check in and out was very salubrious and informal. The house was quite exceptional and our room far exceeded expectations, very clean with a great bed and a really nice shower. Breakfast from 8-10, anything to choose from to be honest, from cereals & peanut butter to full breakfasts,... More

We visited Dublin and Avoca House and it was the most amazing experience. Jack & Audrey are two great people who treated us as part of the family and gave great advice about places to visit, transportation and places to eat. The room was great, the food excellent and the talks in the morning & evening very fun :)) We... More

Just finished a lovely three nights stay in this family run BnB and it was delightful. The location was close enough to the city centre and the rooms where a lot nicer then I was expecting, very clean, the only down side was the bed was so comfortable it was a struggle to leave! On my last day there was... More

What a wonderful Hotel. It was really clean, felt fresh and the decor was excellent. The hotel owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was just what we wanted. Jack the proprietor even took us to one destination, as my wife was not up to walking. Then he refused payment for this. The breakfast was really... More

We stayed at the Avoca for 3 nights whilst on a city break in Dublin, booking last minute after being caught up in the Lowcostholidays fiasco. We struggled to book via the hotel website but Jack was very helpful over the phone and agreed to hold the room for us. The B&B itself is set in a quiet residential area.... More

I have just spent a wonderful three nights at Avoca House with my sister and brother in law. Audrey and Jack were the most friendly and welcoming hosts imaginable - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast great. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Clean and very central. Good Irish breakfast. Clean room and welcoming staff. Reasonably priced. Would return. Take in the Guiness Brewery and St. Patrick's Cathedral. Walk downtown and take in shopping and eat at local pubs which feature music and sometimes step dancing around 9 p.m.
