Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of October. We arrived very early in the morning so left our luggage at the hotel and went into town until it was time to check in. The hotel is a bit out of town, so a good 20-25min walk to the centre, and then another 10 mins...

This was our second time staying at Charleville Lodge. Our first time we had a tiny room on the street front so we were kept awake by traffic. The second time I paid extra for a "better room". We were allocated room 20 which was lovely but was just off the reception. Consequently we were disturbed constantly by other guests...

Pros: Somewhere to leave your bags upon arrival, if you can't check in until later. Friendly staff. Local buses. Very comfy bed. Nice hot/powerful shower. Cafe/restaurant just one floor down, and very tasty food. Cons. Room was just outside reception so very noisy. Remote control for the TV didn't work. Bathroom was a bit grubby. Luggage storage wasn't very safe/secure.

Have to say I am addicted to this place, there's something honest and alureing about it. Maybe it's the shoot from the hip style of the management? Or the beautiful Beatrice on reception? Agh can't put my finger on it, and that's why I love it....oh and don't believe the negative Nellie's that put it down.. make your own mind...

Stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend heading to a gig. The living room space was gorgeous with old style chairs and decor. The room was perfect with a gorgeous bathroom. Most of all meeting Paul was of course the highlight. Genuinely such a nice guy, literally did whatever he could for us. Also another mention for Oscar who...

For a cheap weekend, this was ideal, we didnt spend a lot of time in the room. With good links with the bus and a nice cafe 10 min down the road, it was great. The interior is tired, with the hallway netcurtains needing a clean and chairs needing some attention. Our room is what we had expected for how...

Stayed here overnight with a friend when we both visited Dublin. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable. Staff are very accommodating and polite. There's a spacious lounge for residents with copies of newspapers and tv to relax after checkout or to wait while your room is being prepared. Definitely worth a visit!
