Have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions, primarily because of it's great location in Dublin. 5 minute walk from Grafton street and close to a buzzing area of bars and restaurants. Friendly staff, good breakfast and a nice relaxing bar area on the first floor. From train station take Luas to Jervis St and then a 10 minute... More

I stayed for a one night business trip with a colleague. It is ideal for going out to the bars and parking is a stroll away. The bar is friendly and the Guinness apparently award winning so worth having in front of the real fires. The room was tired and lighting very poor so disappointing but I slept well. Its... More

This hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of Dublin, the staff are great, and there is a wonderful bar (The Library Bar), but that's about it !! The rooms are cramped, tired and noisy, and overall I found this hotel far too expensive for what it offers. I was looking for a hotel in Dublin months in... More

Lovely old hotel, extremely convenient to everything. Dublin Castle on the street behind the hotel. Many good restaurants in immediate vicinity. Tourist office 2 blocks away and all shopping. Only problem was noisy which I was made aware of but chose the hotel anyway because Dublin is a noisy town and there is always something going on. Staff is lovely... More

The location is excellent, the prices are cheap (even with the adverse exchange rates affecting British travellers like myself!), and the staff are very friendly. The cleaning staff do a fine job as well.

Almost everything is within a short walk. You can't find a better location. Right next to Temple Bar and close to Dublin Castle and Grafton Street. Nice and helpful staff. The room was very spacious and clean, beds very comfortable, although the lighting in the room could be better. This hotel is a really good value for the money, good... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night. We wanted a good location at a fair price, and happened upon Central Hotel. Courteous staff. Helped us a bit with finding things in the city. Our room was small, but we knew we would only be there one night so that didn't bother us. Clean room. Relatively quiet as well.... More

Good bits - Location is great, very spacious room, clean large bed, nice staff (only saw them briefly as we checked in and out). Not so good bits - considering the price tag you'd think they'd invest in some double or even triple glazing... if you would like to rest peacefully forget it - obviously being in a central location... Stayed at the Central Hotel for a couple of nights the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the hotel itself is very central to everywhere if somewhat a bit noisy as its near a busy road, it's an old hotel which would benefit double glazing to help block out some noise, the staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Location was great. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast had no fresh fruit except grapefruit. Grapefruit??? Our room was on the street and we had much night noise. Request a room off the street! Our room was a nice size. The floor next to the wall on my side of the bed was very squeaky. I was concerned... More
