Having read reviews on here it seems that some people were expecting the Ritz or the Savoy. For the price I am impressed. I was shown to a comfortable room at the top by a very friendly chap called Nicholas who you could strike up a conversation about any topic with. Breakfast (which was an optional extra) was reasonable, but...

I stayed 5 nights there, payed for a single room but got a double room instead. Yes it is not a luxury hotel and not in the nicest places of Dublin. But everything was comfortable, functional (tv, hairdryer,...) and clean. The hotel is just few minutes walk from city center (O'connell street). My room was on 3rd floor rear side,...

We arrived at gardiner St to find a very scruffy harveys sign. Cans of beer on a windowsill facing main St. Main door very unappealing ..We were very apprehensive knocking and entering! The litter in the Street outside composed of the poor homeless sleeping bags and clothes we reckoned on their return. On entering however and met by our host....

We read there was free parking on site, when we arrived in a Mid sized 4wd ( Nissan X trail ) we were told it was too big for the parking available and we would have to pay for parking on the street. We were met by the Lady owner and appeared very nice until she asked where we came...

It was my first time in Dublin so I thought this sounded like a good place to stay. It's a long walk uphill from the train/bus station (that doesn't look so far om maps) so I suggest if you have a lot of luggage to take a taxi. It's about a 20 minute walk to O'Connell Street and probably about...

I was with a group girls on a 40th birthday celebration . On arrival we were shown into a pokey room with the owner stating that she was waiting for her son coming to give us a lecture , as she stated that the previous week she had a group of girls who had started fighting with each other ....

After arriving in this guest house we were met by the owner who was rude and patronising in her manner. We were made to wait for a long period of time prior to being shown to our room which was pretty basic however there were no tea making facilities. We were asked to remain and wait for the Son to...

I rented 2 rooms - 1 single for myself, and a double for my daughter and friend. The room prices were reasonable compared to rates at other Dublin hotels. This place isn't fancy but it is nice, comfortable, and only about a 20-25 minute walk from Temple Bar. Nicolas (I believe he's the main proprietor) is friendly, helpful, and whips...

After an extremely long flight with delays and crowds, we arrived at the guesthouse early. We expected to have to leave our luggage and check in later but it was wonderful to be able to check in early. The room was clean and the owner friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extra but well worth it. Lots of variety and...

Although the hosts are 'nice', this guesthouse is very poor. We were given the basement room and this needs to be updated. We had arrived after a long journey and had plans in the evening so did not notice until we came back later that evening how damp the room and beds were. It also had an odd musty smell....
