My friend and I stayed in the twin room in the attack of Harvey's Guesthouse from 19.05.17-21.05.17. We were made very welcome from the start. On Booking.com it says that check in is from 2pm so we were just expecting to leave our bags and head back out until later but the hosts were very accommodating and chatty and allowed...

It's not cheap to stay in Dublin, but if you're looking for somewhere that's clean, comfortable and not as expensive as other places then this could be just right for you. The area isn't as bad as some of the reviews on here would have you believe, and it's just a fifteen minute stroll away from O'Connell Bridge. We didn't...

If you're looking for a modest but clean and friendly place to stay in when visiting Dublin I would recommend Harveys Guest house. The staff is lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The stairways are narrow and the rooms small, but you can expect that in a house that is 300 years old. No fridge in the room, separate taps for...

Reading some reviews on here I was expecting something pretty bad We booked two rooms for 7 people. Greeted by the owner who was very friendly and made us welcome. Checked in easily. Rooms were great. Very well painted and extremely comfortable beds. I am not sure I've slept better at any other hotel. Bathroom needs an update but was...

We booked 2 family rooms for 7 people. The rooms each had a double bed and 2 singles. Room was nicely decorated and was spotless. The bathrooms needed updating a bit but were perfectly acceptable. The staff were lovely. The only down point was there were no tea/coffee making facilities which would have been nice as we didn't book to...

Having read reviews on here it seems that some people were expecting the Ritz or the Savoy. For the price I am impressed. I was shown to a comfortable room at the top by a very friendly chap called Nicholas who you could strike up a conversation about any topic with. Breakfast (which was an optional extra) was reasonable, but...

I stayed 5 nights there, payed for a single room but got a double room instead. Yes it is not a luxury hotel and not in the nicest places of Dublin. But everything was comfortable, functional (tv, hairdryer,...) and clean. The hotel is just few minutes walk from city center (O'connell street). My room was on 3rd floor rear side,...

We arrived at gardiner St to find a very scruffy harveys sign. Cans of beer on a windowsill facing main St. Main door very unappealing ..We were very apprehensive knocking and entering! The litter in the Street outside composed of the poor homeless sleeping bags and clothes we reckoned on their return. On entering however and met by our host....

We read there was free parking on site, when we arrived in a Mid sized 4wd ( Nissan X trail ) we were told it was too big for the parking available and we would have to pay for parking on the street. We were met by the Lady owner and appeared very nice until she asked where we came...

It was my first time in Dublin so I thought this sounded like a good place to stay. It's a long walk uphill from the train/bus station (that doesn't look so far om maps) so I suggest if you have a lot of luggage to take a taxi. It's about a 20 minute walk to O'Connell Street and probably about...
