The good - our room was enormous. Shower was super-power. The hotel was quiet (with the windows closed) so we slept soundly. St. Stephen's Green across the street was lovely. The not so good - breakfast was really bad. We stayed there 2 nights and decided to eat breakfast elsewhere on the second morning.

More fool me, I should have checked out the reviews much more, before I booked this hotel. Although it is very central, it really needs a complete overhaul. My room overlooked the Green - lovely, but was extremely jaded with cracked ceiling, creaking floorboards (sorry - to whoever was sleeping below) and a very disappointing bathroom. Goodness knows when the...

We spent a wonderful 6 nights in this quiet, ideally located Georgian hotel. Where some might see tired decor, I see charm. Our room was facing the lovely Iveagh garden behind the hotel, and was remarkably quiet. The hotel is tastefully decorated, very clean, with helpful staff. Wifi was available but spotty, and was being worked on. No elevator, which...

i have just spent the night at this hotel. I was expecting a lovely hotel as it read well. Sadly it was very tired( well the room i was in was) think they are in the middle of decorating the original end. I could have put up with the tired room IF the breakfast was decent. Breakfast this morning was...

Nice hotel close to the city centre. Big room and comfy beds, our room had windows toward the street, but since the neighborhood is pretty quiet during night, this was not a problem. No wifi in our room, but wifi was available in the lounge and at the lobby. Decent breakfast.

I stayed in Dublin for two nights for business. I had never been to Dublin before and I found this hotel to get the job done. It was very affordable which was why I booked it. The location was very nice and right across from St. Stephens Green park, which is a lovely little green space. The staff was friendly,...

Stayed here for the August bank holiday. Cheap and cheerful sums up Staunton's. The first room we checked into smelt horrible, the reception staff were helpful and although the hotel was fully booked someone hadn't yet checked in across the hall so we accepted the different room. This one was slightly better aesthetically. Although the bathroom door didn't shut and...

South side of St Stephens Green - great location for shopping, restaurants etc. Hotel rooms are basic but large and have everything you need for stay. Breakfast is simple and service was slightly scatty but endearing. Expect road noise from rooms at front but not huge disturbance. Found staff extremely friendly and helpful. Left bags at hotel pre- and post...

Positively, we chose Staunton's based on reviews here.... what was clear, is location and value. St. Stephen's Green Park is just across the street, walking distance to downtown Dublin/Grafton Street and all the shops. Our bed was very comfortable and our bedroom was perfectly sized. Breakfasts are plentiful. (young staff need to know it is not appropriate to scratch head/hair...
