Visited for 2 nights from 31st December. Amazing looking hotel which oozes character in every turn. Welcomed with mulled wine & chocs on arrival. Staff so friendly & 'can do' attitude. Room was gorgeous especially with nice touches like welcome message on the TV with our names on. Toiletries were fab. Maid friendly. Bed was massive probably same size as...

This is a beautiful hotel and being there around Christmas is just magical. My other half let the staff know it was our anniversary and they were so welcoming and upgraded us to a beautiful executive room. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was nice but I found my main (the roast vegetable pie) quite bland. It was fine...

Incredible hotel with extra friendly staff. We even got a free upgrade on our room. Can't recommend highly enough. The only criticism I have is that the hotel is quite far out of the city. Public transport was required to get around.

We had the privilege of staying at this supperb establishment over the Christmas period. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Castle and the Christmas package to any one wanting to be spoiled and have a time to remember. We felt like royalty, credit to the management and staff.
