Lough Eske is a gem outside Donegal town. Beautiful castle stay, excellent food, lovely pool and treatment area, great Donegal welcome. Staff could not do enough for us. Hotel spotlessly clean. We recommend the Afternoon Tea. We will be back.

We were met with a warm welcome from the moment we stepped out of the car, this level of friendliness and helpfulness remained throughout the duration of our stay. We booked 2 junior suites in the main hotel, they were stunning, so spacious & luxurious with super comfortable beds. The spa treatments were top class, and we really enjoyed chilling out in the relaxation room and thermal suite afterwards - pool also lovely! The food in both the Gallery Bar and Cedars was mouthwatering - every bite was delicious! Great selection for breakfast, so tasty with attentive staff at all times. We took advantage of the complimentary bikes and cycled about the grounds, so well maintained and lovely to explore. Fabulous sculptures & water features throughout the grounds. Every staff member we met was so friendly and engaging, but I have to mention a few that really stood out: Dylan guided us to our rooms and made excellent recommendations of where to visit in Donegal. So friendly and engaging, an excellent front of house person! Claire in reception was lovely and ensured we were all set for our stay (all reception staff were awesome to deal with) Grainne in the spa was fantastic & super helpful - (as were all the crew we encountered down there) We will definitely be returning, we did a lot of touring so next time I think we relax a bit more in the fabulous settings of Lough Eske & book even more lovely spa treatments ❤

We had a two night midweek break here. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and very welcoming. We had a lovely afternoon tea & my husband got a gluten free version which was a real treat! The room was simply amazing with a comfy bed amazing bathroom & brilliant sound system. We ate in the bar & restaurant & all food was tasty & delicious with a good gluten free choice. The spa was special with a wonderful therapist called Catherine. We will be back !
