The room was cramped and filthy - with a view of nice flower pots but a dilapidated fence; general shabby condition and disgusting state of the butter at breakfast showed minimal effort and gave little confidence in overall hygiene - couldn't wait to leave. Hostess was very obliging though. "Deluxe" (as stated in the confirmation) - it certainly was not...

We had a fantastic time in Mariaville House ! The breakfast is perfect, the rooms are very nice and special thanks to Barry who gave us so many precious advices about the city. The b&b is not far from the city (20min by walk) and the street is really calm.

I recently stayed at Mariaville house and immediately felt at home after a long flight From Chicago, O'hare. Barry and Goretti are the best hosts, knowing when to be helpful And when to give you privacy. I spent 2 nights at Mariaville house at the beginning and the End of my trip. It was such a relief to know my...

I stayed at this B&B recently with 2 friends. Mariaville House is in easy walking distance of Cork. As would be the case I imagine with other city properties, what you gain in convenience you do sacrifice for in space. Looking back, we probably should have booked 2 separate rooms rather than a triple. My friends had a little space....

The innkeeper was very helpful, suggesting a casual and great dinner location. Wonderful pizza and wine bar. Loved that part. However difficult to get to without GPS. It took us Americans about an hour to find it, after several wrong turns and two stops to ask for directions. Fortunately the friendly Irish were very helpful. Our room was clean, but...

I spent 2 weeks with 3 of my friends in Mariaville B&B. It was a great stay with tasty brekfast, nice rooms with very comfortable beds. There are also coffee and tea facilities and a fridge in the dining room which you can use whenever you want to. About 20 minute walk to the city center. Barry and Goretti are...

My husband and I recently took a city break to Cork, what a great weekend, we were looking for a centrally located B&B that we could walk to town, park the car & not have to pay city rates for parking !! Booked this b&b for our last night in Ireland as it is only 15 mins from airport. Barry was very nice and the breakfast was lovely, but the room was disappointing, very basic, no tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bathroom was in need of a refit, the shower was not very clean and the towels were hard,...

Just to deal with the matters raised for those who are interested. We have made a decision to take the teas and coffeee making facilities out of the bedroom and place these in our breakfast room for our guests. The reason that we have done this is that we can now provided our guests with fresh milk from a fridge...

I had to travel to Cork from Dublin to attend lectures at the UCC Brookfield Health Science Centre on 7-8 March 2013 & found Maria Ville B&B on the Google map for the 2 days/1 night stay - I am very grateful to have found this B&B which is only exactly 7 minutes walk from the B&B right into the...
