I must say I was staying at the auburn house when that jerk from Sweden was there, The one that wrote the recent review. He was rude from the moment he walked in...the host tried to make him feel welcome and even made him coffee. I would have kicked his sorry butt out before ever making him coffee. I found...

My sister and I stayed for one night and wish we could have stayed another. The people are friendly, welcoming, and full of suggestions on things to do and see. Parking the car and leaving it was easy and convenient for us. Would definitely recommend.

We were two seniors with reservation. Auburn House is like something out of a fairy tale - a bad one - tiny facilities, with a yappy little dog and a feisty manager/owner(?). Within 5 minutes we were thrown out because we couldn't accept a room on the top floor (heart problems). There must be something fishy with the TripAdvisor points...

When you rang the doorbell I answered it immediately as I was checking in another family who I had just made coffee for and was about to give them information about music and restaurants.I guessed correctly who you were without you telling me and yes our Yorkie did bark at you for which I apologised for. I told you straight...

This B&B was very conveniently located in Cork and was clean and tidy. But the real highlight was the owner Olive. She was so sweet and friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. She offered lots of tips for pubs in Cork and places to visit in the surrounding area, and cooked up...

We enjoyed our stay at the Auburn House. The owner, Olive, could not have been more welcoming or helpful. This was our last stop before heading back to Dublin. Olive suggested some lovely seaside villages to visit along our way. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was amazing! Can't remember her little dogs name but she was precious!

Olive and Kieran were really friendly. breakfast was savage, location was ideal for us, we walked into town and back at night. Good choice of bars and restaurants down the street, there is also a really lovely flea market around the corner on the hill where we did a bit of shopping. We'll be back for sure.

The Auburn House is a brightly painted and beautifully decorated three-story townhouse nestled above the Cork city centre. I had the pleasure to stay this past May and it was everything that one could hope for from an Irish B&B. Comfortable and conveniently located with hospitable and knowledgeable hosts. Olive and Kieran really went out of their way to ensure...

The room was confortable, clean and cozy. Very good and copious breakfast. The location really near to the city center is very good. Moreover the hosts are lovely and very helpful. I recommend this bed and breakfast.

What can I say but "wow!" My son and I stayed two nights with Olive. Her breakfasts were the best we had in our two week stay all over Ireland. She was funny, kind, and so helpful. I am so sad to be home and away from this wonderful place. Thanks so much for making our trip so great!

I stayed at Auburn House for one night in October on a diversion through Cork back to Dublin having just walked the Kerry and Dingle Ways. I chose Auburn house because of its consistently excellent Tripadvisor rankings. I find the Tripadvisor rankings curious at times because to my mind Auburn is only average accommodation. I think its higher ratings come...
