I was literally starving for a good breakfast when I came Garnish House two days ago and what a feast it has been. Check out the menu http://www.garnish.ie/breakfast They cannot do enough to accommodate me, no request is too small even to getting a lovely cake recipe. The afternoon welcome tea was on offer upon checking in which came with...

To be certain, the room rate is a bargain. The room was small, but clean. Heat comes on at 5 p.m. WiFi is free, but intermittent. Places that cannot figure out wifi have about another five years left in this century. Just saying. By the by - finding this place can be a struggle. What is not mentioned on the...

Hands down the best breakfast in Ireland! An amazing quantity and quality! I would stay there again just for the scones. This was the nicest room that we stayed in while visiting Ireland- a king-sized bed, a rare luxury. Clean and modern. The hostess was so welcoming and friendly, just perfect. Would stay here again and again.

We booked a family room for 1 night. It was by far the smallest room of the other places we stayed while in Ireland. The full size bed for my husband and I couldn't even fit the 2 standard pillows. Our room was located down the street from the main house, involving crossing a street. The person who greeted us,...

We booked a superior room for one night in October- it was quite large and had a large bed but beyond that nothing exceptional with a smallish bathroom. The main thing here is the hospitality and the breakfast, both of which are exceptional. We would stay there again.

Greeted by Marcel who assisited with our luggage to a spotless room with a jacuzzi bath and a separate shower with toiletries within the en suite. We were given a family room for the two of us with 4 lovely windows overlooking the main road, but it was not noisy. Home made breads, scones, cakes, jam with tea was then served to...

My husband and I stayed at Garnish House for two nights in November 2012. We did a week long trip in Ireland and split our time between Dublin, Cork and Galway. All of our accommodations on our trip included breakfast, but by far the best breakfasts we had were at Garnish House. The room was standard by European standards -...

The hotel was well located, quite near the centre of Cork and close to the university, a fast-food restaurant and local pubs. The room and the bathroom were excellent and the staff and service were very good indeed. The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would very happily stay there again. Cork is a remarkably...

We have been staying at Garnish House, at the end of October for the Cork Jazz Festival, for the past 7 years. The welcome has always been amazingly friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Yes it is a little expensive but, in our view, worth it. The breakfast is phenomenal – the best I have had anywhere, including Ireland....

Garnish House is the LP pick for Cork (at least in the 2010 version we had) and it didn’t disappoint. It’s in a nice looking townhouse on one of the main streets from town center (an easy 10-15 min walk) next to a few other B&Bs. We parked right in front although there seemed to be more in the back....
