I do not think I have the comment space to list all my complaints but here goes I read trip advisor comments so I took a bit of a chance. The Mountain just to climb to get to the hotel was horrendoys. Why no taxi bus shuttle up the hill. Pointed not taken to a room on the top floor....

Have stayed in heaps better for less ...... 40 euro for a single room ..... with shared bathroom .. expensive ! I didn't have breakfast ... but sounds like that would have been another 3 euro ... so 43 euro for B & B ! I was let down by a last minute Airbnb cancellation, so just had to find...

We've visited many hostels during our journey in Ireland, unfortunately Sheila's was by far the worst. And not even the cheapest. Our room got changed last minute to a room that probably was rejected. On opening the door it was filled with flies and musquito's. Room was just dirty, linen not washed, bed should be thrown out. Only go here...

Currently laying in one of the beds in a 6 bed mixed dorm. It's so cold I'm wearing 2 sweaters....I don't think this hostel actually has any heating. And the bathrooms are beyond gross and my bed is definitely not clean. This was not the best decision I ever made. Staff is lovely though

I recently stayed at Siles Hostel and was very satisfied with the experience. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, good locker facilities. Its also a very clean and well run hostel, loads of sockets for charging phones and a good breakfast. what more do you want from a hostel particularly when it charges one of the lowest prices in Cork

I staid only one night and it was a suitable hostel. Dorm had 4 bunks and was a fine night sleep. Hostel has a large kitchen and lots of common space. Location is good, a 5 minute walk from bus station. Overall, a fine hostel.

I paid €60 for a private room for one noght hoping for a small bit of luxury. How wrong I was. The room had a bunk bed, shelf, mirror and a place to hang clothes (but no hangers) and that was it. The walls were crumbling and cracked, dirt and mould were present and the noise - oh the noise!...

Being almost 60 and never having experienced a hostel, Sheila's was the place I decided to do so at. Had a private room, so didn't really get the full experience, but enjoyed my one night in Cork at Sheila's Hostel.

I stayed here with a friend on Friday night and had quite an unpleasant experience. The room itself was tiny, there wasn't place to swing a cat. I'm glad we had decided to leave our bags in the car and only bring the essentials with us, as we would have had no place to put our bags!! As well as...

The place looks a little tired but it is in a good location for the city centre, bus station and a short walk from the train station. It has a good size kitchen to cook your meals, overall a safe place to stay for budget travellers.
