Recently stayed here with 3 of my friends whilst visiting Cork City. Martin the owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome. He has great knowledge of the area and historical stories. Located in a great area, easy walk to the centre of town. Highly recommended.

Just to meet the lovely couple Martin and Margaret and their energy, their smile, and their stories... you should go :) My dad stayed for the weekend, it's 5 min walk from the city centre so, just enough not to have the noise and the buzz of the city at night.. A little bit uphill so you get the chance...

My husband and I stayed at the Butter Market House Bed and Breakfast for one night in July. Martin is the perfect Irish gentleman and host... we were enchanted with him as he told us the mythology about how "The Rock of Cashel" was created. Choose to stay in this bed and breakfast for the great view from the front...

My sister and I recently stayed at the Butter Market House for two nights during a trip to Cork. What a treat it was to have Martin and Margaret as our hosts. They are personable, friendly, humble and very knowledgeable of the area and the history of Ireland. We were treated to delicious food, comfortable accommodations and some wonderful stories...

My adult daughter and I stayed here for 4 days in June. The hosts, Margaret and Martin, are friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and Martin makes great breakfasts! Martin knows a lot about Cork and its history, which was helpful for us. He is also an avid golfer, for those looking for information on pursuing that pastime locally. The...

My family stayed at the Butter Market House for several nights and we had a wonderful experience! Martin was just a wonderful, welcoming host, willing to take the extra steps to ensure that we knew where we were going and had what we needed. The breakfast was good and the entire space was clean. The perfect place if you're a first time visitor to Cork. Basic but spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts and a lovely welcome from hosts Martin and Margaret. On the practical side, this B&B is within easy walking distance from the city centre, but is lovely and quiet at night. There are plenty of places to choose from for...
