I stay in this hostel during four nights. I got the room 306 which was nice and quite; I did not hear the music from the bar. Beds are correct as well as the bathroom. Only drawback is the terrible breakfast, but considering the price I would say it is okay. Now, the bar is the deal. It has a...

I've stayed in a few hostels in my time and while Bru Bar may not be the worst, I would definitely rate it low in most categories. True, it's affordable and it has a very popular dive bar that blares loud music from 3pm until about 1am. It's a great place to stay for the younger crowd looking to party...

It s a tipical hostel, little room, a little pub where you can have 15% save. The staff os friendly and the beer is tasty. Quite a nice place, i whould raccomand it for a 2-3 day holiday with friends. Ps. They make a good espresso!

The staff was really nice. There's a bar with billiard room in the bottom. 24-hr reception not really existent--luckily someone saw us trying to check in and we got in or else we would have been s outta luck. Room was technically clean but felt old, dingy, seemingly unchanged from the past few decades. Very basic. No extras. WiFi weak...

I wonder who came up with the idea of having hostel above a loud, noisy, smelly pub. Absolutely horrible idea! Till late night downstairs the bar has live band playing music, and loudness comes directly up to the rooms (it's every night they have 7 day schedule at the bar) people laugh, sing, talk, play pool downstairs. Our room was...

I arrived at the Bru hostel in need of a drink and some relaxation upon arrival they where short staffed on an extremely busy day, one girl behind the bar and booking all in (a lot due to gigs) We made our way to our 3 bed room/cell with no air, tiny beds and although their was a bathroom with...

Of the 4 nights me and my 2 friends stayed at the hostel I could sleep through none of them. That was mostly due to the horrible insulation of the window. You could hear the noise from the pub downstairs until 1am and the traffic from the big street below from 5am as if there was a hole in the...

I stayed at the bru with 2 friends in a tiny little room for 3 people, with a double bed (it clearly wasnt a double bed, more like 1 1/3). On the website it said free highspeed Internet everywhere , but we didn't have wifi at all, only in the kitchen. The most annoying thing was the bad Insolation, so...

I've done a lot is hosteling, and this was one of the worst I've stayed in (barring one terrible experience in Eastern Europe). It's the site of a popular dive bar and the locals/patrons/employees there were very unfriendly to outsiders. The towels were kept on the dirty bar floor and smelled of cigarettes and had cigarette burns in them. The...

Hi Hensolo88, Thanks for taking the time for writing a review of Bru Bar & Hostel. We take a lot of care in making sure the local public and the Guests in our Hostel mix well in our bar. We have been doing this for eleven years now with very few complaints of unfriendlyness and yes it is popular as...

Novice to hostel bookings, I checked out trip advisor and then decided to stay 3 nights at Bru hostel. From the Parnell bus station it is a straight walk...easy to find and popular among locals. I only had the option of a coed room with 4 beds room 305. I guess I was traveling on a budget and it wasn't...
