My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were excellent and very comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast all home cooked and delicious. An extensive library had plenty of books about the surrounding area and places to visit. A bar serving food and a Chinese restaurant plus a supermarket were within walking distance. Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at the Newpark House 20 years ago on our honeymoon trip around Ireland. It was so good to see it again! The mother and son running the manor house are the same who were running it when we stayed last time. They are warm and welcoming people. The manor house is grand and set on picturesque farm in...

I will remember this B&B for its beauty; the lush grounds complete with chicken coop; the large living room with its high ceiling, wonderful furnishings, and evening fires; the library full of local and Irish history; the two friendly, well-behaved dogs; and the hosts, the interesting and eccentric Declan along with his 80-year-old delightful mother, Bernie. Breakfast is at one...

Secure, comfortable, modern and yet charmingly rustic. There is nothing this B&B doesn't have. Perfect location for a 5 minute cab ride into Ennis for shopping or you can enjoy all the sounds of nature by simply being outside at the house. The owners are charming, welcoming, and always willing to offer help or conversation, you have only to ask....

This place was historical, clean, comfortable and friendly. The owners were very accommodating and informational about the area and had plenty of books in the library for people looking for genealogy and lots of books about Ireland. The breakfast room was really nice and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I will be back.

After driving for several hours it was a joy to turn into the drive that leads up to this majestic but homely property. Bernie and Declan were both friendly and as helpful as they could be. For those used to the clinical modernity of chain hotels this place may come as something of a shock but it is a very...

Having travelled from Canada, I'm staying at Newport House this week. In response to an earlier message, I have not found it dusty in the least! A lovely home build in the 1700's, it exudes both charm and hospitality. Declan and Bernie are most welcoming hosts.

We liked this old stile, especially the breakfast room was really nice (and breakfast very good!). Although it could maybe be a little lighter inside, and less dusty. Hosts were very friendly. Quiet at night for a good sleep.

My husband and I spent one night at Newpark House after touring the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren. We so wish we could have stayed longer! The house is an old castle structure that sits on more than 50 stunning park-like acres located just over a mile from Ennis. It's like an estate within a small town, and the...

My wife and I spent 10 days at the Newpark House with owner Declan Barron and his mother Bernie. They are extraordinary people. The house has been in the Barron family since 1904 but was built in the 1700's and sits on 50 acres. It has six rooms. We stayed in room 2. Each morning we had a full Irish...
