Beautiful house, large rooms, warmly welcomed and we felt very comfortable. We only stayed one night as we were visiting Bo'ness. This was the perfect choice. The quality of the room and the breakfast makes it excellent value for money too. We happily recommend to others.

I stayed on Glenavon while on business travel and enjoyed the house, the room and the garden. The owner is very nice and helpful! Linlithgow is very close to Edinburgh and it is easy to get there by train.

Myself and my husband stayed at Glenavon House for 10 glorious days. Glenavon house was built in 1886 and has been beautifully restored by the owners the Lindsay family. We booked the Lindsay suite with a large amazing onsuite all done in the style of the house, and woke up to a delicious Scottish breakfast every morning. The house was...

We just had a great three nights in Glenavon House and cannot speak highly enough of the experience. We had almost booked an 'ordinary' B&B when we discovered Glenavon House on the internet and are we so glad! Sue was a wonderful host, great fun and very helpful. We had two American friends with us and the historic house with...

We were absolutely thrilled with our time at the Glenavon House! I'm not a big B&B person, but this was a wonderful experience. The house itself was beautiful - historic - yet beautifully updated for all the comforts of home. I must say however, that the best part of our stay was our host - Sue. She was absolutely delightful...

This is one of the best places you will ever stay. We were lucky to be given the Lindsay Suite with lovely views over the garden. The room is dressed in tartan (Lindsay, of course), with a four poster bed and gorgeous en-suite. Sue, who runs the house is really friendly and makes you welcome. Her breakfasts set you up...

Only 15 minutes by train from Edinburgh Waverley Station to Linlithgow. The owner, arranges without charge, pick-up/drop-off at the Linlithgow trainstation and take you to the house in 3 minutes. We don't normally stay in Bed and Breakfasts because of the very variable nature of the accommodation and the hosts - regardless of the number of 'stars' awarded. However our stay at Glenavon house was an absolute delight. The rooms, food and welcome were beyond reproach and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to the most choosy of our friends....
