We stayed just one night in this lovely small hotel in a quiet road just out of Ayr centre. The room was freshly decorated and very comfy. Breakfast was plentiful with good choice available. No dogs allowed unfortunately. The staff were friendly and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely return when next in the...

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend at The Carrick Lodge. We were looking for a lovely weekend and we were not disappointed at all. The breakfast has a wide choice and the staff are really efficient and very friendly. We also had dinner in the hotel and all I can say is that it was the...

Second time at The Carrick Lodge. We came back for the food and the staff: even our seven yr old looked forward to breakfast and dinner which made it very relaxing. Special shout out to the breakfast lady who is just superb. We had fun scrambling round Dundonald castle and All around Culzeen castle too.

We had the Kintyre room which was a large ensuite room overlooking the front of the hotel, very clean and well presented as was the hotel as a whole. Food was very good and breakfast was excellent with bar prices very reasonable. The friendly atmosphere was always evident and the staff were constantly smiling and willing to help at all...

We had dinner and there was a large choice of options well priced and it was difficult to choose but it was all delicious. Breakfast was freshly made to order with lots of...

We stayed here last weekend as we had a wedding nearby, when booking we asked for an early check in and were advised that due to check in/check out times this may be difficult but they would see what they could do. We turned up early hoping that our room would be ready and it was! Which was great! From...

Simply 5/5 Wonderful! Enjoyed one lovely night in this well appointed hotel, close to the town centre - but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet Lovely bar and restaurant Fantastic breakfast in the morning too Room was big with a comfy bed and chairs, -along with a good bathroom.

Beautiful lunch with good understated service. Well presented and very very tasty. Always reliable. One of Ayr's most reliable restaurants. Although it was busy, the staff were very efficient. Well done to all.

Possibly some of the best food we've had on our travels around the UK. There is very little else that needs to be said. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. If you want to stay in Ayr, stay here.

My partner and I called in for morning coffees to remember an event of many years ago. We were amazed by the excellent service that we were generously provided with by extrememely kind and hospitable staff. Thank you! P.S., the cakes were much appreciated too.
