We booked the function room for our dads wake & couldn't have been more impressed with the staff . Everything went perfect the staff were absolutely excellent we got a great spread. Stayed in the rooms which were good & very cheap, breakfast was lovely. This is a perfect hotel if visiting Ayr as at the top of the town.

We stayed here for under £50 so it was good value for money for a bed for the night. Nice and clean. Furniture was a bit outdated and the bed was on the smaller side being just a standard double - but all in all a very good value for money hotel with nice staff.

Rooms are old fashioned but on the plus very good sized and very clean, great shower. Food is very good and reasonable. Agree with previous reviewer don't understand why the restaurant isn't busier. Very central easy to reach from train station and handy for shops pub etc. Oh and staff friendly also. Xx

Stopped in here as we usually visit the same restaurants in Ayr + had never tried this one. Very quiet but the meals were lovely and reasonably priced. Great variety of choice on menu, generous portions and great service. Don't understand why its not busier it should be with the delicious fresh meals they serve.

Lovely little hotel ..... perfect place to stay before catching a flight from prestwick! Rooms, food and staff all first class!!!! But my praise goes to Stephen who more than went 'the extra mile' in his time and patience shown trying to print boarding passes from an airline whose system wouldn't allow me to!!! You are a credit to this...

We go through to ayr at least twice a year and have never stayed here. The place is located perfectly in the town centre, the room was really big too! Upon going out on the town with my mum, we had a few drinks in the bar. The barman was great - fab customer service and great banter. Will definitely...

The Ayrshire and Galloway hotel was a comfortable, clean hotel. The hotel staff were welcoming. We had two of their rooms and both had comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The evening meal was tasty and the next mornings breakfast was well prepared and very filling.

Stopped off for a drink. Nice surrounding and lots of facts and memorabilia around the decor. A large range of drinks especially the whiskies. Reasonable priced but beware of the cost of soft drinks. Overpriced.

We go here on a regular basis for drinks and always have a great laugh. Staff are good and drinks fairly priced. Also has a jukebox packed with tunes. Plenty of seating and has some good pictures which make good conversation.
