It was a last minute booking as we had been visiting relatives in the area and decided to stay the night somewhere. We sat in the car googling and struck gold with Beaches. We rang and managed to book a double room. It was after 8pm when we arrived and Jan couldn't have been more welcoming. Lovely room with high... More

This was an amazing experience and fantastic place to stay! It was my boyfriend and I first time in Scotland and we couldn't have asked for a better welcome. Beaches was very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Jan is very friendly and we felt right at home immediately. Her homemade biscuits are amazing. The location is perfect and if we go... More

Great room, well equipped and lovely decor. Jan is the most welcoming owner and always makes sure you have everything you need. Homemade shortbread in the room was amazing and the breakfast is the best ever. Have been going there for years and will continue to do so as it's like a home from home.

It's decorated to a really high standard with everything you would get in a hotel and more, Jan's homemade shortbread provided on the hospitality tray is delicious! We stayed here for two nights and were not disappointed! The whole experience from our welcome with tea in the garden through to our farewell was great. The top floor room was fantastic as was the panoramic view of the sea front and the beautiful ensuite. Jan's shortbread (her grandmothers recipe), is superb and a really nice touch. The full... My mum and I stayed here on our recent trip through southern Scotland and it made our top 5 of the trip. We stayed in the deluxe room with the sea view - fantastic space and very modern bathroom. I stayed here with the family in August as we were attending a wedding nearby. The guest house is located in a charming, street of elevated terraced houses and is a few metres from the seafront. Rooms are immaculately clean and well decorated and beds are particularly comfortable. The owner Jan is a lovely lady : friendly, funny and very... More
