First treat was being upgraded to the Red Drummond Suite because it was unbooked at the time of our arrival. Lovely touch. Sophie and all the staff were superb, excellent people skills. Dinner was absolutely superb. I would say it was the best dinner we have ever eaten outside of a top restaurant. Wonderful confit hare croquette. Flavours and presentation flawless....

We recently did a week long tour in Scotland and stayed here on our first night on the road. What a gem! All the places we stayed were great but East Haugh was our favorite. The rooms were great and all named after fishing lures. We stayed in the Hairy Mary. Steve, who I believe is the manager, was amazing....

A gift from my step-daughter of two nights at the hotel and a distillery tour were greatly appreciated by myself and my partner. The staff were very friendly, always on hand, making sure that everything was as it should be. Loved the food, the surroundings and the atmosphere in the hotel. Our time was spent exploring the surrounding area and...

We hadn't stayed at East Haugh House before, but saw a last minute deal on booking.com for a small double room. We booked for a night and made a dinner reservation for 7pm. Just as we were leaving the house, I got an emergency call out which delayed us by an hour and a half. Called hotel, not a problem,...

You have to visit this hotel, located just outside Pitlochry, it really is a treat. The Chef Patron, Neil is very talented and the food is fabulous, their speciality is game and fish, having said this all the food is terrific! Neil and Lesley's daughter, Sophie is an absolute joy as front of house and Steven the general manager is...

Only reason it is not a 5 is that the shower was not fit for purpose however the hotel has said this would be attended to. Our room was "Willie Gunn" Otherwise it could not have been better with both the food and staff the standout qualities. Recommend dining in the bar rather than the restaurant because of the cosy...

Stayed here with my parents over Easter weekend and was blown away. We were a little disappointed upon arrival as the A9 buzzes past at the bottom of the lawn and a small local road runs right behind the hotel, but this proved to be a minor fault that wasn't a problem once in the hotel itself. The staff were...

Spent two nights at East Haugh this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
East Haugh House is a 4 star luxury boutique hotel based in Pitlochry, Perthshire just 1 hour from Edinburgh and 2 hours from Glasgow. Built originally as part of the Atholl Estate some 350 years ago, this family run hotel is a beautiful, turreted stone house situated off the old A9 road with beautiful woodland walks and easy access to Pitlochry. With 12 individually designed bedrooms, including three deluxe four-poster rooms (one with its own fireplace) and whirlpool bathrooms, along with a private Victorian Gate Lodge, East Haugh House is hailed as one of Scotland’s “hidden gems” with the “best food in the area”. We have a bar and a restaurant where our extensive a la carte menu is served. Be it for romance, culinary indulgence, fishing, shooting, hunting, golf, a wedding to truly remember or simply to escape the stresses of everyday life, use our access to the estates and rivers of Perthshire for a unique getaway in the Scottish highlands. We have access to some of the very best fishing on the river Tay and river Tummel and can book salmon fishing days enabling you to (hopefully!) catch that fish of a lifetime! ... more   less
