We dropped in and had a lovely meal in tasteful surroundings with a touch of class about it. Nice attentive staff without being too attentive and great rapport with the senior? waitress (From Slovakia). Having been to Slovakia we had some common ground and we were made to feel so welcome. The food was excellent and no down side at...

Visited for Saturday lunch. Seated in bar which is very comfortable. log burner and walls covered in fishing memorabilia. Whole House appears to be clean, tidy and well maintained. Choice of brunch or a la carte. We went for a la carte - good choice. Scallops were excellent followed by market fish. Perfect choice. Also lots of meat choices, locally...

Stayed @ East Haugh House with my wife on our first trip to Scotland. The surroundings were great with a really interesting hunting/fishing style. The bed was soft and really comfortable. The hotel is in a great location for the main road and sufficiently far out of Pitlochry to feel that you are not in the heart of the tourist...

We stayed at East Haugh House for two nights and we couldn't fault a single thing. The hotel itself is cosy and intimate. We loved sitting in the 'snug' in front of the fire, enjoying a few drinks after a days exploring. We ate at the restaurant on the first evening and were kicking ourselves for not staying again for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
East Haugh House is a 4 star luxury boutique hotel based in Pitlochry, Perthshire just 1 hour from Edinburgh and 2 hours from Glasgow. Built originally as part of the Atholl Estate some 350 years ago, this family run hotel is a beautiful, turreted stone house situated off the old A9 road with beautiful woodland walks and easy access to Pitlochry. With 12 individually designed bedrooms, including three deluxe four-poster rooms (one with its own fireplace) and whirlpool bathrooms, along with a private Victorian Gate Lodge, East Haugh House is hailed as one of Scotland’s “hidden gems” with the “best food in the area”. We have a bar and a restaurant where our extensive a la carte menu is served. Be it for romance, culinary indulgence, fishing, shooting, hunting, golf, a wedding to truly remember or simply to escape the stresses of everyday life, use our access to the estates and rivers of Perthshire for a unique getaway in the Scottish highlands. We have access to some of the very best fishing on the river Tay and river Tummel and can book salmon fishing days enabling you to (hopefully!) catch that fish of a lifetime! ... more   less
