We left the Shearings Stretton interchange at around 10am and arrived at Pitlochry, after a hour stop at Gretna Green, at 3.30pm. A smooth, safe coach journey with driver Geoff (or Jeff) being amusing, helpful and caring throughout. I travelled with my husband and we had booked a double room paying an additional £28 each to ensure a scenic view....

We travelled with Shearings Holidays on a 5 day holiday to the Pitlochry Hydro. Our room was huge, comfortable, warm and clean. The food was good, with a varied choice of menu each night, both on the inclusive menu and also a la carte at a little extra cost. We were give £50 to spend in the hotel on food...

Went on our first ever Shearings Coach trip. Hotel presents well and was warm The evening set menu was reasonable for the price. Entertainment 'different' and drink prices moderate. Cleanliness. Oh dear. Pubic hair in the bath, rust and mound in evidence, you could write in the dust on the cistern and loo roll holder. Grunge under the bath taps...

Hi, the title of your review is incorrect...cleanliness is not a major issue in this Hotel and I dispute much of what you have had to say. It is unfair on my hard working team and serves no purpose but to demoralise us for what is a huge exaggeration on your part. We fall short on occasion, every operation on...

I just recently stayed in this hotel with my partner and to say that we were not impressed is an understatement. On arrival the hotel looks impressive from the front, however, inside is a very different story. On arrival we were met by a member of staff who explained the ins and outs of the hotel and we were then asked...

Hi, well firstly, regardless of my opinion, the facts remain that two customers left our Hotel less than satisfied and this is never the outcome we want. I have checked the room and there were a couple of shortcomings that have been tackled right away. I have spoken to the staff and at worst there was a small misunderstanding in...

My sister and I stayed for 5 days on a Shearings break. The hotel was warm and very clean. The food was excellent with a great choice each night and a lively buffet breakfast. We loved the entertainment especially Ronnie Ross. Pool and jacuzzi were a bonus and drivers Gordon and Geoff kept us entertained and informed on the coach...

An excellent long weekend stay at the Hydro, situated above the town of Pitlochry. Part of the Coast and Country chain, it was definitely the best of their (and similar chains') hotels. We stayed in room 108, recently refurbished with a great walk-in shower, comfortable bed, tea making facilities and spotlessly clean throughout. There's no WiFi in the room, but...

Hi, now that's what I'm talking about.....brilliant and we are all thrilled. Next time you must bring your swimmers and take full advantage of our facilities. Later on this month work commences on having a wifi upgrade which will cover all rooms. We all feel this will be a great addition to our existing operation and it will be super...

Had a great Friday to Monday stay at this hotel. We travelled by car. Two couples. From the food to the room everything was perfect. Staff are very sociable. Location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside. The train station is nearby and we had a lovely trip to Inverness. We will definitely return.

Glad you appreciated both the staff and our food as these are two very important components of any wee getaway. Thanks again, we are all delighted. Regards Chris Stanton GM

Lovely countryside for sightseeing and little Towns & Villages to explore. Grampian Region is easily accessible and quite magnificent. I traveled by Coach with a Tour Operator. Worst feature was that coach windows were black tinted thus restricting views of countryside and mountains.

Travelled Feb 2017, with family, for a 4 night stay. Loved this hotel - beautiful location, lovely building, cosy rooms, friendly staff and delicious food. The hotel also benefits from a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna - wonderful after a long winter's walk. I couldn't fault this hotel and would definitely stay again. The staff made it feel like...
