Staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful, food was exceptional, bar drinks very good. Would benefit from a softer cosier bar area, no cushions or cosiness, tv on same time as music - difficult to hear at times.

Thank you for your feedback and kind remarks. I'm sorry you found TV difficult to hear but it is our policy to only have subtitles, except for sports events. I understand your comments about having a softer "lounge" area in the bar. We had this before. However, we have limited space because tables and chairs are moved out of the...

The hotel is comfortable and clean, relatively quiet (although I would suggest ear plugs on a "Live music" night). We stayed as a family, in a mini-suite comprised of Rooms 9 and 10 and would definitely stay again if we are in the area. The bar was well stocked with local ales and a massive variety of whiskeys. We had...

It's helpful that you mentioned the live music. A lot of guests stay with us because of the live music. However, we have no way of knowing in advance who is coming for the music and who is hoping for a quiet visit. So, event dates are published on our website. Also, on our website and booking sites we advise...

I have stayed at this hotel three times now on my way home from working offshore. The food, room and staff have been excellent everytime I stayed there. Very handy for the town and airport links. I wouldn't go anywhere else when staying in Nairn.

Hotel basic but comfortable. Staff excellent can't do enough to help. Food fabulous especially if have allergy's or are a coeliac. Hotel excellent location close to shops and beach with fantastic walks on doorstep. Bar is very welcoming and homely and if a whisky fane 144 to choose from.

Catering for special dietary is important to us. Our head chef is coeliac, I eat mainly vegetarian food and so together we work to design menus with a great choice of varied, tasty dishes for all types of diet. I'm pleased you enjoyed the food. Thank you.

Comfortable room. Good wifi. Excellent cask ales. Very early bar closure because town was in hibernation. Good grab and go breakfast available for early leavers. Dinner food not bad...I had Ardgay game casserole with a good portion but rather too much watery gravy. Overall, a comfortable stay at a very cheap rate with a LateRooms booking. I would go back.

Thank you for your feedback. If you book direct with by telephone or on our own website (rather than through a third party provider) you will get an even cheaper rate. Something to think about for next time.

My wife and I stayed here on Saturday 19th of November. We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy wee place and full marks to the lovely staff. Food was nice and our room (4) was nice and warm. Smashing breakfast too. Will definitely be back! 😊

We had booked Sunday lunch here as they advertised a Carvery on Sunday and on the website it said the restaurant had been voted a finalasit in the Scottish Hospitality Awards, after our experience today I find that hard to believe. The menu offered a two course Sunday lunch, a starter and the carvery. We all chose the soup which...

I'm really sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. I will certainly pass all these comments on to the Head Chef. I'm glad to say that your feedback is not typical, but will be treated seriously nevertheless.

Excellent staff, fantastic food, amazing selection of real ales and whiskies. Room was adequate and clean. There was only limited on-street parking but we found a space every night. Would definitely recommend!!!

Unfortunately I have to express my disappointment about a poor experience at this hotel. The one positive I can give the hotel is that the staff working in the hotel were very good and attentive. I regret to say that the same cannot be said for the owners of the hotel. Our room in the top of the hotel was...

On check out, you complained you were cold on the first night of your stay (but comfortable on the second night). I apologised and refunded £40 (which I believe is a reasonable deduction). You (all) seemed to believe you should have stayed for free and responded in quite an aggressive, argumentative manner (which surprised me given that your complaint was...

Well positioned in lovely Nairn, though parking not easy. Friendly staff and delicious food. Simple rooms, clean and small. "Old fashioned" feel. Comfortable bed though prefer wider than 4'6"! Short walk to lovely beach.

Thank you for your comments. Parking is free on street parking but can be busy at meal times (as our restaurant is very popular) but there is also a free open air car park at rear of hotel which takes about 100 cars (normally empty).
