Firstly the staff are brilliant. Not one of them from the UK, but they were all very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Top marks for the staff. Now to the hotel, whose location is the last hotel on the road out of Fort William and thus a good couple of miles from the centre. The company has a...

Not a bad room. A fairly large hotel. Loads of safe parking. Stairs are a bit tricky with luggage. Breakfast room overlooks the loch. They say that there is free internet throughout. However I suspect they systematically block certain sites or downloads. Despite a reasonable signal in reception and breakfast room, we were unable to download a copy of The...

From time to time all hotels have problems and for me it is how they deal with the resolving issues and keeping the customer inside that is important. The room was OK although the poached haddock was leathery at breakfast suggesting too muck time lying under the heat lamps in the hot plate. The Problem On arrival I found my...

We stayed at the Croit Anna as part of a Highlands coach tour. The rooms were clean an comfortable but could have been improved by more comfortable chairs. The food was good. Some was obviously home made especially the soup. The hotel is quite isolated with nothing within walking distance (if you don't count the loch!) We did pay extra...

We stayed here as July seems to be high season in Scotland and all other hotels were booked - and this only had 2 rooms left. That is because the poor elderly people on van tours were forced to stay here and climb multiple floors to their terrible rooms. My father and I felt terrible for them as many struggled...

Had to stay at last minute due to a road closure affecting my onward journey. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Communal areas could do with a wee bit of freshening up but room was fine. And it was at the front of the hotel so I had a great view of the loch. And had a very comfortable sleep....

Hotel looked a bit dull outside but it was ok inside. There was no lift to bedrooms but in fairness we knew that before we arrived. When booking we were asked if we wanted a loch view and if we did it would be an extra £18.00 (I think) That was a bit sneaky Mr David Urquhart, so it was...

To be honest I only booked this place because everywhere else was booked up.The'coach party' comments kind of put me off. However this is a perfectly adequate 2* hotel and the fact that most of the clientelle are older makes for a quieter night since most are in bed for 11pm! The place is very clean, there's loads of hot...

We went with Alpha travel (an excellent company) on our first ever coach trip. The hotel is on the loch and most rooms as did ours have a loch view. Less than 3 miles from Fort William. The hotel is very very clean and tidy and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Rooms cleaned daily. Food was very good...
