Great location in centre of city, just a short stroll from railway station, and close to many pubs, restaurants and shops. Room was clean and comfortable with a great power shower, our room did not look out onto the street which we were thankful for as it would have been noisy on the Saturday night, so we would advise anyone...

We were actually staying in a nearby hotel that wanted £15 per person for breakfast so we declined and ate each morning in Wetherspoons. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Scottish breakfasts were very good though we did feel the cost of the toast was a tad over-priced compared to the cost of the breakfast!! However, we enjoyed...

This hotel was not the cheapest but the rooms were nice although a bit noisy and hot. Staff in restaurant and cleaning staff were really friendly unlike the grumpy receptionist. I see similar posts about this woman and a feedback from the general manager saying he will speak to reception staff about their welcoming and customer service skills. My wife...

Thank you for your comments sorry to hear your experience was not up to our normal standards. We will speak to the front of house with regards to this. If you had put a request on your booking we would have tried to accommodate this but it all depends on when the previous guests have checked out as they have...

This was my first trip to Scotland and we booked to stay here for 3 nights but ended up leaving after 2. It wasn't bad, it was cheap compared to most hotels, it's a wetherspoons so the food was reasonably normal fare, service was good. The room was just a bit off. It was too hot, the cold tap ran...

Thank you for your comments. Sorry to hear you were not happy with your stay. We are a non smoking hotel but sometimes unfortunately people do disregard this and smoke in the rooms which they then get charged £100 to bring the rooms back up to non smoking. We did check the room you were in after your departure and...

The room did smell of Tobacco smoke and there was cigarette ash on the windowsill. I did report this to reception and the receptionist offered me another room. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Food in the bar was great.

Thank you for your comments. Sorry to hear your room had not been cleaned and freshened up for your check in, good to hear my reception staff sorted you out another room. I have spoken to my house keeping staff about the issues you had with your room as we do not want a repeat of this happening.

Stayed here for a weekend a couple of weeks ago, ideally placed for the town centre and the shops. Typical wetherspoons,(pub wise), but the room was lovely. It was very clean, nice size bathroom and decent size towels!. Kettle and tea/coffee in the room which was nice and very comfortable, Staff very friendly and the breakfast was good
