Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Large party over 10 everyone got their food quickly and it was all delicious and quality was also great. Reasonable price they were busy so only criticism was we had to ask three times before we got the bottle of wine we asked for. Apart from that it was first class service and food was fantastic.

My sister and I were visiting Inverness and from the minute we arrived at the Redcliffe Hotel, we were warmly welcomed. Our spacious room, in a building across from the main hotel, was warm, comfortable and with a gas fireplace which just made it so cozy. Our stay in this wonderful place included two dinners and three breakfasts, all just great. Thank you Anna Maria and Mo, as well as the chef who went out of his way to prepare lamb for my sister on her birthday. We will be back!

Our 3-night stay at the Redcliffe was one of our best experiences on our UK trip. By the time I booked, many other hotels were full and the only room available here with 2 beds (as I was travelling with my sister) was one with a double bed and a murphy bed. I decided to go with it anyway, hoping for the best and that's what it was. The room was located in the building across the street from the main hotel, on the main floor overlooking Inverness Castle and the sunsets. It was large, very comfortable, old-world charm with modern amenities like an electric fireplace and a double sink in the bathroom. We got good advice from Adriana when checking in - best make a reservation for eating at night as many restaurants get fully booked - we saw this to be true in the town. So we ended up eating in the hotel restaurant 2 nights as well as for breakfast. The meals there were great - lovely dining room, great service (thank you Mo!), great choices. The staff were terrific, especially Anna Maria who seemed to be everywhere all the time. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful stay that we'll remember for a long time.

We were guests in the hotel apartments, and had dinner in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, the service and food exceeded our expectations - the pizza we had was cooked in an outdoor oven that you could sit near, and the salmon dish is also recommended. There was an outdoor terrace with a lovely view of the Inverness landscape.

My family and I stayed two nights at the Redcliffe and had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was spotless, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. The only minor complaint we had was that when we opened the window to help the room cool down some smoke and noise from the patio wafted in. It was booked through our tour company, so we weren't sure what to expect, but we would definitely book it again if we every get back to Inverness.

Great hotel within walking distance of the city center featuring some of the best food we had in Scotland! Employees were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was situated in one of the apartments and was comfortable for 3 adults. Definitely would stay at the Redcliffe Hotel again whenever we are lucky enough to go back to Scotland!

This was a perfect location and great accommodations. It is clean, well appointed and would stay again. Anna Maria at the front desk was exceptional and very welcoming. The rooms were really nice with a soaking tub that is very much needed after our travels all day.

We were left with no where to stay due to a neighbouring hotel letting us down. We called to check for availability however no answer so we popped by. The lady on the desk showed my husband the room & was very personable. The room was fresh, clean, nice ensure shower room. Breakfast was very pleasant, the tea was undrinkable however that is not the end of the world. On check out my husband thought I paid & I thought he paid so it was a little confusing however we got it sorted in the end. We will definitely return, the beer garden looks great!!!

Firstly, I'd like to say that the waitresses were amazing when we visited for dinner; so efficient and polite! The food was absolutely faultless - it was delicious 😍 The management however..... We had booked to attend one of the Christmas Party nights and as part of the booking it says £10 non-refundable which is no problem at all! Unfortunately, we ended up with COVID 3 days before the party night - the person who had organised it contacted the hotel who after checking with their manager was told we would receive food vouchers to be used by end of March 2023 for the value of the party night obviously minus the £10 non-refundable deposit. We were delighted! After the buzz of Christmas and New Year the lady contacted the hotel to find out how we would get the food vouchers - no reply - twice! So, I decided to contact them myself. Preferring to have things in writing these days I emailed towards the end of January - no reply! So I emailed again a week later - no reply! The first week of February I phoned to be spoken to by a member of staff who clearly didn't care and said she'd check with her manager and call me back either that day or the next day. A week went by and nothing. I rang again a couple of weeks later (now near the end of February) to get the same staff member who again didn't care and said "yeah I have it written down here to ask about" - like I was pestering her! Finally, mid March the owner answered the phone - his phone manner was awful and considering the run around they had given me he wasn't willing to extend the vouchers further than end of March. Explaining that we had our wedding and were working we had no time to come to Inverness he grudgingly extended it to mid April!!! He also, would email me the vouchers, so I asked to book a table and get the vouchers on the night- again this wasn't an option I had to physically go in and get the vouchers - then book a table!!!!! He was extremely rude when I went in to collect them; I wondered how people go there with his attitude but after having the delicious food I know why! Not at any point was I rude or raise my voice to them so I really don't understand the attitude! So, we won't be rushing back to line his pockets but we would return should an occasion occur there because the food was out of this world!
