We (2 adults) stayed here for a couple nights at the beginning of February in a family maisonette room. This was great for the kids as we have a 2 year old and a 9 year old and our youngest obviously goes to sleep earlier than the rest of us. The maisonette room allowed her to have peace and quiet...

Stayed overnight for a theatre visit. Hotel has a lovely atmosphere. We were in one of the 'outside' rooms (as opposed to being in the hotel). Room was very nice; super king size bed, good size ensuite bathroom, plenty of storage -if needed. Dormer windows with blackout blinds - although not double glazed & as it was very windy it...

Stay here whenever I come for work. It is home away from home. The staff are friendly and go beyond to help. Food is delicious and atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Rooms good size, clean and comfortable. I would not want to stay anywhere else due to the fact it feels like home so never worry about being on my own.

Saturday lunchtime visit for a meal. Large plate of tasty roast chicken with oatmeal stuffing, various veg and potatoes plus a large raspberry cheesecake (couldn't really taste the white chocolate element) and coffee. All for £12.50 per head. Pleasant surroundings in the conservatory. Excellent, friendly and helpful service. Two minor issues - toilets not on in Ladies and couldn't find...

Staff in every department were outstanding. The bar was well stocked, pool was fine, rooms of a decent size, breakfast excellent in terms of choice and quality. That said, the hotel is dated and creaking at the edges....carpets, decor etc. The drawing room opposite reception is traditional and superb. Where investment has been made it is not always successful eg...

Booked a 2 night break with my son. The staff were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were really nice. We used the pool twice and had it all to ourselves. It was lovely and warm, a real treat. I can't wait to return.
