1st floor offers great refurbished rooms. all other floors have old fashioned style furniture. riverside rooms are more quiet and generally bigger. the pipes and sanitary equipment is different from room to room. the new rooms on 1st floor have a great bathroom. the connection of the wifi is slow and unstable.

Stayed with a group of friends we have stayed in this hotel before . We like the hotel as it is town centre easy to get to the shops. When we checked in it was early but we still got the keys and where told housekeeping might still be in the room which was no problem at all as we...

I was in Inverness mid November and stayed for two nights at Mercure for the primary reason that it is less than five minutes walk to the train station. Aside from this, it fronts the River Ness and the view from the breakfast room is lovely. Day after I arrived, the sun was up and I had a nice walk...

Stayed here this weekend past. Hotel is fine, clean and efficient. Breakfasts were good. Redecorating being done but that did not interfere with our stay. My only issue us out with the control of the staff and management, this was the considerable noise outside in the street from the pubs across the street, it went on for ages. If you...

I visited Inverness in October 2016 and landed there from London in flight. As part of my itinerary, my next stop was at Edinburgh. So I chose this hotel as its just next to the Inverness Train station. The hotel is in the centre of the town facing the river. The continental breakfast is good. The Inverness castle is just...

We had an enforced visit to Dingwall so decided to book an overnight stay here and do some early Christmas Shopping and make extra use of our journey from Skye. The hotel was undergoing a makeover and we were given an "upgrade" by the pleasant young man at Reception. The room did indeed appear to have been recently decorated, having...

We checked in after 2pm and had 2 rooms (double and twin). The rooms were clean and very comfortable. My niece loved the coffee machine! The bar was busy but the service was quick. Breakfast in the morning was excellent - very nice black pudding. The outstanding area for us was the friendly and professional staff. Well done and thank...

We stayed at the Mercure for 2 nights. The first night we stayed in a standard room which was quite sub-standard actually. The room smelled damp and we later discovered the carpet adjacent to the bathroom was wet....think the bath must have been leaking and water seeped through to the bedroom. The light fittings at the side of the bed...

The hotel was very good the staff were polite & very helpful. The room was kept to a high standard of cleanliness which is a must in any hotel. The breakfast in the morning was of a high standard with very attentive staff. The only disappointment was the morning I was checking out.....it appears that someone had ordered drinks costing...

That saying you get what you pay for proved true again. We got a room for a low price, but found one issue after another during our stay. We were sent to an occupied room and rather than prioritize finding us a new one the desk staff went to the room and looked through the stuff there to figure out...
