I'm not sure if you can hire a mini fridge as it wasn't something we needed. I think all the rooms are on the upper 2 floors of the house but the owner is very friendly so I'm sure you could ask in advance. Myself and my partner walked in and out to the town center at night and always felt safe. It's a residential area with lights so it's pretty safe.
