We stayed overnight here on business. The hotel was warm and the room perfect for what we needed. The staff were lovely. We had a meal in the restaurant which was really nice, especially the steak and red wine pie. Breakfast was lovely, everything we needed. We would stay here again if we were in this part of the world...

Our hosts were excellent, friendly and helpful. The room was very good, clean, warm and comfortable. The food was excellent too. The breakfast was the best on our road trip of 5 stops. If we happen to be passing again we would book here without question.

Room fine, plenty of space, nicely furnished, with good sized TV, I liked the tea making facilities. I received great service, the owners were really friendly. The food was superb, great choices, quickly prepared, piping hot and tasty.

It was nice and clean inside, everything we needed for a night. The menu wasn't varied as I couldn't find anything i liked. Otherwise it was fine. Staff were okay but a bit forward and offered us to sit in the dining room twice as though they wanted to hurry even though we had just been there for a minute...

We landed later in the day but our hosts, whom have recently taken over, were accommodating. Our room was a good size and warm, the bed was so comfortable and the food was outstanding (we recommend the smoked platter and the poached chicken and haggis). Our hosts were friendly, a good laugh, informative and they helped us plan our trip...

I stayed here with my boyfriend for three nights dinner, bed & breakfast. I would recommend staying here if you are visiting the area. Our room (number 8) was lovely, comfortable and clean. The menu was varied & all the food we tried was delicious. Even if you aren't staying here, it's worth visiting for an evening meal. The owners...

Stayed here for one night in Oct 2016. Room was comfortable, with the bathroom being fantastic. Nothing flash but good bar food and breakfast. Close to John O Groats, Castle of Mey in walking distance. Ideal for exploring Dunnet Head or stop-off on way to Orkney.

The rooms are small but cosy. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Great shower. Food was really good - I had the steak pie - it was superb! The breakfast was really tasty , all really good quality food used. There isn't anything else nearby so once you get here , you are here for the night. The staff were really...
