Just the greatest. KIrsty and Kevin are the most wonderful Scottish couple you could hope to meet. Comfortable room and great breakfasts. Kevin cooked up a great variety of Scottish fare and looked after my wife's special diet.
The gardens are extensive and you're never quite sure where the garden ends and nature begins. Ideal to sit and relax with a quiet drink after a day out and about.
Chickens and white doves mix with wild ducks, rabbits, pheasants and more, many of which you can hand feed.
Very convenient for a short walk over the railway bridge to the centre of town or a stroll across the paddock for a. swim in the river Spey.
Plenty to do and see around Aviemore, we were there for a week and wished it was two.

We stayed for 3 nights and we wished we could have stayed for more ! From the moment you enter the properity to the moment you leave you get a real sense of peace. Everything is thought of, there is a welcome board as you enter which clearly states which room you are in and where to find it. When you enter your room there is a lovely welcome pack for you, with some delicious fudge ! Everything is clearly explained.
Kirsty and Kevin are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble to them. They have vast knowlege of the local areas and have some really good suggestions for walks and bike trails.
I can honestly say that their breakfasts are one the best we have ever tasted ! you can tell that they source their produce locally, espically the eggs !
I would recomment this B&B to everyone.
Can't wait to go back next year.

This is the second time that we have stayed at the Ardlogie and once again we really enjoyed our stay. Kirsty & Kevin are great hosts, very welcoming and always willing to supply you with information and ideas about what to do and where to go.
The room and communal areas were spotlessly clean, with a number of new measures introduced to ensure the safety of guests. Breakfast each day was absolutely fantastic with a wide range of options available and the portion sizes were generous.
The Ardlogie is in a great location, very close to the town centre and nearby bars and restaurants. We ate at the Old Bridge Inn twice and also at the Rowan Tree, which is a couple of miles outside town and food and service at both were excellent. We were lucky enough to have a great few days weather whilst we were there and so were able to make use the Old Bridge Inn beer garden as well.
Aviemore itself is a great place to stay, with a wide range of activities available for all ages and we would recommend the town and the Ardlogie without hesitation.

Stayed here with my partner for 4 nights. From the second we walked in the door we were made to feel very welcome. The location is excellent, you're literally a 5 minute walk from the centre of Aviemore and the Rothiemurchus estate. The room was very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast is excellent with an extensive menu(I can highly recommend the venison sausages!!) The proprietors Kevin and Kirsty go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as can be. Nothing seems too much bother and I would have no hesitation in recommending Ardlogie to any of my friends or family.

Having had to cancel a trip to the USA in August 2020 I opted for a wee Scottish 'staycation' with a 3 night stay at Ardlogie when travel was still allowed! I've lost track of how many times I have stayed here over the years and this trip didn't disappoint. A wee note in the reception from Kevin and Kirsty welcomed me back and directed me to my room. Everything felt very clean and safe with hand sanitiser available at the door and on the stairs and masks required in the communal areas. My room and ensuite were warm and comfortable as usual. Breakfast was served by Kirsty who wore a face-mask throughout. The food, as usual, was spot on with the 'buffet' being served by Kirsty rather than self-service. There's a great selection on the menu and you'll not go hungry! I can't wait until lockdown restrictions are lifted and travel is allowed again within Scotland so I can pop back up for another visit! (Apologies for the 'late' review!)

My husband and I visited Scotland as a way to celebrate his 60th birthday. When we arrived at Ardologie Guest House, we were surprised to find a cake and a bottle of bubbly waiting for us in our room. That was just the start of a wonderful week-long visit there that not only met expectations, but exceeded them.
The accommodations were terrific - clean and comfortable - and the breakfasts were positively yumcious! We tend to be late sleepers and often skip breakfast, but we were always eager to get downstairs to enjoy the breakfasts at Ardlogie.
Most importantly, the hospitality of both Kevin and Kirsty is worth a trip back to Scotland. No question remained unanswered. And their suggestions… for restaurants, activities, places to go… made our visit more special for them. Plus, while they are not located right in the heart of Aviemore, they are within walking distance to town as well as many trails. If you're heading to Aviemore, don't book anywhere else but Ardlogie Guest House! THANK YOU, Kevin and Kirsty!!

Kirsty and Kevin have created a fabulous guest house with incredible attention to detail plus all the basics done really well.
Games, books and dvds in the room, thoughtful touches throughout. Scottish themed decor but done in a fun and tasteful way.
Breakfast is amazing! A selection of cereals, fresh fruit, pastries and continental cheeses and meats plus a huge selection of cooked options. The variety of egg dishes was exceptional and made even nore special by the fact the eggs are fresh from the resident hens in the garden!
The enthusiasm of the hosts was also lovely - we were made to feel so welcome. Despite having been to Aviemore quite a few times before, Kevin came up with suggestions for our expeditions which were totally new to us and which took us to some new haunts.
Coming home after a long day in the hills with tired legs, the finishing touch was being able to relax in the hot tub. Little touches such as the jar of homemade millionaire shortbread in the entrance hall with a sign saying ‘Eat me’ was another indication of just how fantastic Ardlogie is!
10/10 - Kirsty and Kevin have made this a really special place to stay. We’ll be back!

We were made to feel like we had known Kirsty and Kev all our lives, and we were just popping to see them at their house for some well earned rest and amazing breakfast. The room was perfect, comfortable and clean, with plenty of little extras as well. The drying room for our wet gear as we came off the mountains was a very nice touch and very welcome, as having to dry kit in your room in a hotel after a day in the mountains is no fun .
Kirstys and Kevs warmness is everything you would expect from the Highlands and the Scottish Highlands influence flows through the house only adding to the joy of being there. The house has a feeling of home, helping you to feel relaxed and care free as you unwind.
We are already excited for our revisit next Winter season, and I hope Kev eventually sells his Defender...

Kirsty and Kevin are B&B hosts to die for. Friendly, helpful, nothing too much trouble and both have a wonderful sense of humour. The room was very comfortable, the garden was an entertainment in itself and it is impossible to go away hungry from their breakfast table.

We stayed here four years ago and gave it a 5 star review then. Nothing has changed. Kevin & Kirsty are great hosts. The breakfast menu is good & varied, so there’s always something new to try. The beds are comfortable and there are loads of accessories. The hot drinks tray is fabulous and puts most other places to shame. Nothing is too much trouble and a packed breakfast is available and so are packed lunches. If we get the chance to return to Aviemore, this is the only place we’d stay. Doesn’t that say everything?

Many thanks for your enquiry.
We're centrally located within Aviemore behind the River Spey where you can fish and canoe. You can find information relating to these activities on the Visit Cairngorms website, but it's also worthwhile trying Active Outdoors in Aviemore for full information and booking for the canoeing courses available next weekend. Apologies that we're unable to send the links to these websites through this Trip Advisor email service, but you should be able to find these online. There's also some useful local information as well as our full booking terms & conditions on our own website.
Thanks again & we hope to see you next weekend.
