We stayed for 5 nights at the end of September at a cost of £33/night, which seemed a little steep but having never camped before, I had nothing to compare the price to. We arrived after an 8 hour drive to a warm welcome and was advised about the different camping locations; having read on a previous post, the "island"...

Quiet campsite amongst the trees. Facilities are clean and well maintained, friendly staff. Walking distance to Aviemore and a short drive to Cairngorm. Try the highland beef steaks from the estate shop nearby.

It certainly is a lovely place and close to Cairngorm and only 5 minutes to Aviemore for supplies. However the site was full on arrival and the pitch we were given for our small 2 berth caravan was too short and narrow, despite having been asked for the caravan length on booking.. We have caravanned for many years and siting...

I was very disappointed and quite angry with rothiemurchus camp and caravan site! I am an outdoor instructor working down at Coylumbridge with a school group during the week and needed somewhere to stay this weekend. So I went to Rothiemurchus campsite and tried to book in on Friday afternoon with my friend who decided to come up for the...

We camped here for 2 nights in early September 2016 at a cost of £22 per night. We travelled from Newcastle so it took around 6.5 hours to drive as we hit bad traffic near Edinburgh due to the Forth bridge repairs/road works. We arrived at the site just in time to check in and with just about enough daylight...

We know Rothiemurchus well but this is the first time we had camped here. We loved it...not too busy and great toilet blocks with wonderful showers. It's an easy walk or cycle into Aviemore along the Old Logging Way and there a multitude of lovely walks in the area. You can walk straight out from the campsite and walk to...

Excellent! Idyllic campsite surrounded by trees. Toilets/shower area are immaculate and very modern. Very quiet too. Aviemore is 15 min walk away so easily accessible. But the bus stops right at the entrance so even easier. Definitely will be back......ps no midges either 😃

A wonderful smaller campsite, friendly helpful owners, fantastic position, beautiful clean family friendly toilet/shower suites- (Shower, basin, toilet in one unit). Not crowded, Stream flowing right through the site, walks directly from the site, enormous variety of activities near by- Absolutely the highlight of our two week motor home tour of Scotland.

This is an amazing campsite situated in rothiemurcus Forrest. There's plenty of room around the tents, they aren't all squished together like in many other campsites. The toilets are some of the cleanest toilets I've experienced camping. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well! It's in a great location with Aviemore just a 5 minute drive and loch...

Lovely campsite set amongst the trees. We had a good spot around the green/ entrance area which was a favourite for the kids to play together. Effort made to keep the bathrooms clean and encourage guests to do the same, not all do but there is at least a mop and bucket left out so those who want a clean...
