We stayed here on Saturday night (10th December) and I have to say we were very dissapointed. As per a similar review we had a room in the rafters and it certainly isn't one of the rooms that had been photographed to advertise the hotel!!! The old wooden sash windows in the bedroom and bathroom were rotten to the core,...

I apologise that you were unhappy at the experience you had at our hotel. The décor in the third floor rooms is different from the first and second floors however we do have pictures of these rooms on the website, the channels we advertise through and in our 360 degree google tour of the hotel. Unfortunately you have not seen...

Check in starts at 3PM, arrived at 12 midday and found my room ready and I was able to check in. I found the hotel staff to be very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. If you do not want to use taxis to travel around, you have an option of either the subway or...

Gosh, I wish I could write a nice review of this hotel but I was so disappointed with my stay. We booked here as friends were getting married at Oran Mor and the Hilton the wedding party stayed in was full. Upon check-in the receptionist confused our name with another guest, when I pointed it out she asked if we...

I am very sorry to hear about your disappointing stay with us! Here at The Alfred we pride ourselves on service and ensuring guests have the best stay possible. It is not usual practice to mix guest up as we have a system in place to ensure this does not happen and allow guests to have a seamless arrival but...

Lovely hotel recommended to us by a friend. Nice decor and rooms were very nice. Not much noise either considering its right on great western road. Great location for the west end bars restaurants and the underground at either byres road or great western road. Would recommend and stay again.

Great style, great area, great price, great service… great everything. If you’re looking to stay in the West End I think you can’t go wrong by staying here. I should mention that I didn’t have time to try the breakfast in the morning, so I can’t comment on that. The room layout was also exceptional. My only complaint is that...

I had room 12 on the top floor which is a bit of a trek but room was spacious despite being in the eves and the bathroom looked new. The big problem is the shower as there are no instructions and it took ages to get hot water, I had to get the receptionist up to fix it. It's only...

This hotel offered Victorian hospitality in modern times. The decor was stunning and the staff simply delightful. Please note that, should one have trouble with stairs, this is not the place for you as it takes climbing a hill and stair to get to the hotel and then a series of stairs to the rooms.

Great room with en suite. Hotel has a great atmosphere. Facilities were fine and good choices for continental breakfast. Handy for Byres Road, Botanic Gardens and Oran Mor. Would definitely use again if ever I go to Glasgow.

A beautiful property with big, spacious rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. The B&B is within easy walking distance of the University, the Botanical Gardens and the many museums in Glasgow. Parking is an issue and the breakfast was on the light side, but would definitely visit again if in the city.
