We started our tour of Scotland here after flying into Glasgow airport and picking up a car. It was easy to take the train into Glasgow and the farm was a welcome and peaceful respite after a days' sightseeing in Glasgow (which we loved). Irene was a terrific hostess who made us feel welcome and comfortable. Her breakfasts were amazing... More

We spent three nights at Tambowie and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Farm is located on high ground about 15 kilometres north of the city - the views of the surrounding countryside and of Glasgow itself are superb, the décor is tasteful and the rooms spotless and comfortable . To be able to return to this rural haven after our... More

This is such a special place for many reasons. The location is perfect, set on an elevated position in a rural setting, it overlooks Glasgow just 10 miles away. Transport nearby to get you into the city in no time. There is a variety of places to eat within 9 miles, we liked the pub at Drymen. Irene is a... More

A lovely friendly B&B, room was lovely, very clean, with a lovely welcome of home made carrot cake. Great nights sleep & a great breakfast. Linda could not have been more helpful and definitely recommend this place & hope to visit again.

Clean and comfortable and a very warm welcome from Irene who made our stay a pleasant and comfortable experience. A very nice cooked breakfast was provided if you wanted it though cereals, yoghurts, fruits and juices were also available. The views from the farmhouse add to the experience. Convenient to Glasgow and Loch Lomond. Definitely recommended.

We booked this B&B because we couldn't get decent accommodation in Glasgow, however it is only 20 minutes drive to the city centre and less to nearby Bearsden, but feels like miles away! It is such a lovely peaceful location sitting in the hills looking over Glasgow. Irene is a wonderful host and the rooms are large and comfortable, impeccably... More

My husband and I walked the West Highland Way May 2-8, 2015. We stayed at the Tambowie Farm on our final day (we walked from Fort William to Milngavie). What you see in the photos are just a sample of what you actually get. The views are spectacular, the room was comfy, spacious and well lite. The sitting room is... More

We had an excellent 2 nights stay at Tambowie at the end of November. We had a very warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful (sunny) countryside. Having been unable to find a suitable b&b vacancy in Glasgow centre, we were very pleased to find that it was easy to drive from Tambowie and park in the... More

Like may others, my wife and I had a great stay at Tambowie Farm on a recent visit to Glasgow. Irene the owner made us most welcome and we couldn't have asked for more scenic surroundings. “Opt for an en-suite if they are available, more for convenience than anything.”

“We stayed in the first floor 'yellow and blue' room (to the right as you come up the stairs). It had a lovely view of the mountains but all of the rooms appeared to have stunning views. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. While it was not en-suite room, it was perfect for our needs. The en suite room on the first floor is spacious and well appointed.”
