First impression of the public areas are good and the staff are very helpful taking time to look up time tables etc but unfortunately the rooms are grubby, the windows filthy, the beds very creaky with well worn mattresses and the reading lights above the bed head don't operate independently enabling 1 person to sleep if the other wanted to...

I stayed at the Artto Hotel for one night. The lobby and bar area are quite nice, and the staff are quite friendly. Unfortunately, the rooms do not match the quality of the lobby. Small. A bit smelly. Not terribly clean. Some maintenance issues that can so easily be fixed. It was not the best experience. If they put the...

As a hotel, with a few tweaks it could be really good. Staff helpful, attentive. The reception area and bar are nice and compact. The bar food we had was rather nice and fresh. However the room was a bit drab. Cracked tiles in bathroom, bit of mould on the shower seals. A most peculiar smell from the towel rail....

The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and large enough and the hotel was in a great location in the centre of Glasgow. Central Station is just across the road and there are plenty of restaurants and pubs in the area, all within walking distance. I was very comfortable in the room until a group of football supporters returned after a...

Came here for 2 nights with my mum just for a mini break . Enjoyed it. The room was small though And you couldn't get into the bathroom without the door hitting my bed frame. Our room was right next to the cleaning cupboard which woke us up both mornings as the cleaners seemed to chat and chat. The bar...

I stayed at the Artto on a recent 'last minute' business trip to Glasgow. As a 4-star B&B owner and frequent traveller this hotel affronts everything I believe in, in terms of a guest offering. The room whilst warm, was tatty with dirty walls and badly cracked skirting boards. The bed did not have either mattress or pillow protectors and...

Just slept there, but the staff were friendly and helpful and it was clean and very close to the station. It did have a bar, which looked OK, but we didn't try it so can't comment. We had a quick look around the area and it seemed to have a great choice of fast food and restaurants.

The staff were very friendly and helpful right from the time we walked in through the door. The reception is in the bar area and a lift to all floors right next to the desk. Lift a bit slow but have had worse and luckily there are only 4 floors. Room was large enough for the two of us and...

We stayed here purely because we needed a bed for the night after a gig in the city. It was nice and central, clean, and the staff very helpful. The drinks in the bar weren't overpriced. Good value for money.

Stayed here with family for weekend of Christmas shopping. Very central - right next to central station and also main shopping area.Location was ideal. Its low cost and a liitle rough at the edges. A few noisy drunks in bar, dirty sheets left in drawer in one bedroom, shower needed fixed in the other. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast...
