We stayed for one night and had breakfast at a little cafe across the road so can't comment on the cooking. The room was clean and comfortable with views over the Botanical Gardens. Ideally situated for the quirky shops, bars and cafes of Byres Road and a 25 min easy walk (uphill)to the University.

Super wee family run hotel. Stayed here with friends. Clean, quiet and lovely cooked breakfast. Great location for the West End. Only 5 mins walk from Byres Road/Great Western Road so near lots of pubs and restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

This hotel is a little gem in a quiet street in the west end of Glasgow. Stayed for four nights room was spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a short walk from a wide variety of restaurants and bars. Would recommend this hotel to anyone great value for money...

We had the unexpected bonus of being offered an upgrade to the adjacent Embassy Apartments. The suite we were given was very clean and spacious and very nicely furnished and the hotel staff were super helpful. The breakfast was in the main hotel and was excellent and included a full Scottish option. The hotel is located in a quiet road...

There were two empty bottles of wine hidden behind a mirror, an empty wrapper behind the bedside table, the capets are torn, the bathroom is covered in mould, hot water lasted around 1 minute, my room didn't look like the pics advertised. Sheets and towels seemed clean though. Wouldn't stay here again.

Wasn't expecting much as booked for a budget overnight stay as working on Sunday morning. The standard was well above the price bracket and it's located within walking distance of the centre. Very clean and fully modernised - excellent free wifi and free view ( for Dave fans like me it's a must!). The owner was very welcoming and most...

This was OK for our 3 night stay but our room was in the building next door, meaning you had to leave that building to get to main building for breakfast. We were told it was a better room but it was a bit cramped and would not have suited a larger person who would not have fitted in the...

‘Many thanks for your review of when you stayed with us in July of this year, in your booking request you asked for a room away from the main road and as such you were allocated Room 17, which as you quite correctly state is in the Embassy building next door, however this double was completely refurbished and decorated in...

Lovely spot and building but the staff are a real let down (unfriendly, cold, at least the ones I came in contact with). My room was okay but the housekeeping was poor (e.g. towels unchanged and left hanging in various places). I'd say the place is OK for a night or two but don't expect much.

‘Thank you for taking the time to submit your recent review of your 3 night stay with us in Sept, our staff do remember you and the friendly interaction that occurred, so we are little surprised by your comment re unfriendly, cold staff. Great hotel, part of the McQuade chain of hotels, would recommend in a heartbeat! I'm told that this hotel was recently refurbished, and it shows, because it has light, bright decor and feels airy and welcoming. 😀 I was actually meant to visit another hotel in the chain in August with a friend, but sadly there was a bereavement and...
