From the surly staff to a room that would violate a prisoner's human rights, this was a miserable experience. Topped off by the curtain rail falling out of a rotten wall, and when I asked if it could be fixed, I was asked if I really needed to shut the curtains. My review is for a stay in March 2012.

Stayed in a few dodgy places all over the world but this takes some beating. Top floor family room falling apart, smelt awfull, carpet disgusting, no en suite, horrific furniture, there was such a sag in the floor I thought I would fall out of bed during the night, bed sized for a midget, sag in the floor next to...

Don't expect a four star hotel - this is a basic guesthouse! But it's clean, the rooms large, and they do include a hot breakfast! My friend and I booked a twin room and actually got a quadruple. There was a large fairly new TV in the room and multiple outlets in the room (not always the case!). The shower...

Firstly I'd like to say that I via a dodgy travel (hotels.com) they did not inform the hotel i was coming, they informed me my room was booked. This could have ended in disaster if it wasnt for the extremely patient receptionist (Anne) who managed to squeeze me in despite the busy time! Our room was good value for money...

I had to rush to Glasgow as my father was sick within the hour of booking the hotel the Hospital advised me that i should stay the night as they thought he would not make it. I contacted the hotel and the staff were unfriendly and rude!! I emailed the manger asking if they would cancel the booking given the...

I booked 2 family rooms for a group of friends on a cycling trip. Hotel is very basic and a bit shabby in places, but staff were friendly, the beds and bathrooms were clean, and the cooked breakfast was perfectly fine. The location is very central, but on a quiet street. We only paid £25pp and we all thought it...

Found this place using my normal practice of searching Late Rooms, sorting by price and cross-referencing with Trip Advisor so I could find the cheapest place to stay at a reasonable quality. I think I paid around 35 quid to stay here. It's super central, with the legendary Glasgow bar - The Griffin around a 2 min walk. I was...

You get what you pay for, and you didn't pay for a five-star hotel. The whole house is a bit run down and old, the carpet on the floor isn't very nice and there are loose floor tiles in the bathrooms. But the beds are clean, the breakfast was really nice and the bathroom was clean as well. I wouldn't...

This has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Booked a single room, it was advertised as a standard single, pictures showed the same things most hotels show, bathroom, bed, etc. It looked grand so I booked it. I arrived then to find the standard single room does not include a bathroom, instead I had to use a...
