We booked a twin bed room with a shared bathroom at McLays, and I doubt we could have picked a better place. The guest house offered much better services than you would expect for the tariff here. To begin with, it was absolutely clean -- even the shared bathroom. I read in a review here a scathing remark about the...

I stayed here with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. It is good value for money. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed and spotless bathroom, but it was a bit of a climb up three flights of stairs. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of cooked food and quick service. The waitresses...

Booked this guest house last minute for a gig around the corner at the O2. Easy enough to find and close to local shops and bars. Parking looked as though it could be a bit of a pain through the day but I arrived after 5 so got a space which was free overnight just down the road. My single...

The room is big but dated. Good facilities and bathroom. Staff we came across at the reception were very helpful. Good breakfast provided. The hotel is located on top of a steep slope, it will be better to take an uber if you are coming from the airport and have few luggage.

We found the Hotel very good value for money, with good breakfast included. The room was very large and everything was very clean. It was lovely and warm and the beds were very comfy. All the staff were very helpful too. It was very central to places to eat and museums too.

The room was not cleaner properly, the carpet was smelly and dusty. I will not recommend it. However the staff was supportive they understood the problem and gave me another room to stay for two nights and rest of the week I cancelled my stay.

Stayed there on New Year's Eve in a bedroom for 4. 10-15 minutes away from our party location pros: - very helpful and patient staff at the reception - at the end of a corridor and no view of the street, so really quiet - showed up for breakfast 15 minutes before serving stopped and still got hot food -...

LOCATION Located at G3, around 20 mins walk away from Queen’s Street Station and Central Station. Tesco Express, bar and restaurants with only 2 mins walk. Need to walk a steep slope (Garnet Street, or other parallel streets), not recommended for disable or elderly, unless you get there by taxi (still a few steps in front of the main entrance)....

Difficult access for parking.Probably inaccessible for wheelchair access.Bit pricey for the night stay probably due to events at Secc and Hydro.Room was spacious enough clean with new carpeting and large television.en suite bathroom looked as if it had been recently modernised. Bed was comfortable enough but was low down to floor as it appeared to be a sofabed.Despite wooden blinds,outside...

McLay's always seemed to pop up on accommodation booking sites as one of the cheapest and graded as a 2/3 star. This always kinda put me off booking here and went for the larger chains instead. When planning a trip to Glasgow for an international football game we were struggling to find somewhere to stay at a reasonable price for...
