We stayed 2 nights at Barrisdale Guest House. We were warmly greeted by the host, Ron. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable man. Our room was lovely with high ceilings and tall windows. The house seemed close to a major road and we thought it might be noisy at night but it was not. There was spaces to park...

We stayed here on 13th Aug 2013 for a night. Its outside the city on western end and if you are driving, you need not go through maddening traffic of Glasgow. Its very close to Airport as well and if you arrive in Glasgow by Train, take a local to "Hyndland" and Barrisdale is walking distance of 10 minutes. Its...

If ever there was a warm and lovely safe-haven to settle into on a miserably cold, rainy, and windy night, Ron Phillips’ Barrisdale Guest House is the most perfect place to be in Glasgow! We had booked ahead and were graciously and enthusiastically welcomed into a beautifully-restored Victorian townhouse. The greatest of care has been taken to bring this home...

Very beautiful house and we were surprised by the warm and sweet room. Host gave us a big welcome and showed us a very nice bar just around the corner. The room was clean and the ceiling was very high which made us very comfortable. The bathroom was good and the hot water was nice. The breakfast was brought to...

My friend and i stopped off here on our way up to North West Scotland and really wished that we were staying longer, not only because Glasgow is a great city but because the B&B was lovely and we don't feel we got to make the most of it. What we can tell you is that the room was clean,...

Excellent value for money in this quiet pleasant corner of Glasgow. In the past we have stayed in the Briers Road area, but at graduation time this is impossible and we were very lucky to find Barrisdale. It is a little further out but it is very easy to get into the West End and the city centre on very...

I could not have asked for a better experience. Ron was a great host and very helpful. The room was comfortable with plenty of room. Loved the breakfast served in my room. The location was very close to transportation so easy to get around.
