We had booked for 4 people, this turned out to be. 2 person standard room at best. Our first room had fogged up dirty windows, that were broken and not able to open. Hairdryer missing from wall but nobody bothering to take down the 80´s empty wall mount, why would you? Which made It a very believable backdrop for a...

I arrived at this hotel from the airport at about 8:30 am. I asked the bell captain if I could leave my bags there, as I was checking in that night. He went to get a manager and they came back and said "let's just see if we could check you in if a room is ready". Wow! I was...

Conference day facilities were very poor. Buffet meal was rubbish, meat like dried tasteless beef??? Potatoes were mashed and grey! sweets poor and tiny portions. Apple crumble in a dish like an ash tray, few tiny chopped apple pieces and digestive biscuit crumpled over it! Tea had been boiled for hours from the taste Ugh.....

Stayed here with my partner for his birthday. We only came from Edinburgh for a night out and I wanted a nice night out. The hotel is in a great location - only ten minutes from central station and right on the main road. That said, the walls are well insulated and couldn't hear the traffic. The bed was comfy...

Sometimes you just have to acknowledge that you get what you are looking for. We got exactly what we wanted: an OK hotel with the services a conference needed. This hotel was perfect for this purpose. But for a romantic holiday I would book another hotel.

Booked King Room - yes OK the bed was a good size (and comfortable) but not a lot of additional space in relation to the room. Furniture dated - bathroom the same - still with shower curtain inside bath - thought they were long since gone.... Clean enough yes but rooms would benefit from some investment. This would include new...

Excellent place for a party or event! I held a singing workshop and afternoon tea for 25 ladies here on a Saturday and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful - outstanding. We had The Waverly Suite - a lovely room with big windows (accessible for wheelchair too). Perfect for an event for up to 40ish people. The...

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We weren't able to check in as we arrived early morning, but we did get very late check out. As a Gold member, we were given access to the executive lounge to refresh and take in some breakfast. It's not the vast executive offerings in European Marriotts, but one can't complain too much...

We had 4 nights here, good location only 10/15 minute walk to,the town centre. Comfortable rooms, usual great Marriott beds, complimentary wines in exec lounge were nice, food offerings also ok. Downside was the breakfast, most was kept warm in a water bath which meant that most were very soggy and unappetising ( both in main restaurant and exec lounge)...
