Unlike our other Marriott hotel stays, this one definitely did not meet our expectations.. Right from air-conditionor not working to rude staff, we were really unhappy with the entire experience.. Rooms are also really outdated..

After 20 years I gap I stayed for 1 night and whilst it retains the Marriott brand delivery of a quality international hotel, the rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade. Not withstanding that it's good all the way from the check in. Rooms are reasonably spacious, bathroom good and tea/coffee facilities, good aircon and soundproof windows although...

My family wedding was held here in the banqueting hall, which was perfect for the large number of guests we had attending. For the preparation of the wedding, the hotel and its staff were very accommodating towards my family and my multiple service providers. For the evening reception, I have been told that the service was friendly and attentive to...

The Marriott is a very pleasant hotel in Argyll Street in Glasgow city centre. the property is rather old, and the internal decor feels a bit dated, but the rooms are sizeable, the bed is comfortable, the facilities are top notch, the restaurant and bar are outstanding, and the Marriott people are the stars of the show. Breakfast is nice...

While the room was spotlessly clean and large, it just felt a bit dated. The dark furniture and the bland walls and no ceiling light meant the room was very dark when the curtains were closed. The only place you had any real light was in the bathroom which was okay, until you had a shower, then the big mirrors...

The hotel is very close to the M8 motorway which makes it an easy run from the airport although with the very effective double glazing there was virtually no audible noise from outside. There are restaurants nearby and a also a Tesco Express. The railway station is also close by. Staff are extremely helpful. Although the blurb in the room...

I booked a double family room with 2 double beds for myself, my 2 sisters and my mum as a surprise for my mums 60th birthday. The staff were very helpful and they arranged for some birthday balloons, small bottles of fizzy wine and a hand signed card from the staff which was a lovely personal touch. The room was...

Absolutely shocking in this day and age. Pay for it or join the "rewards scheme" and this to give you basic Internet only. Total disgrace and the last time I'll be staying in a Marriott. Shame really as the reception team were extremely helpful on check in with recommendations etc. But all for nought when the company doesn't understand the...
