We stayed in this hotel in December 2016 and enjoyed it both comfor wise and very well situated for the city centre so we booked again for Saturday 19th March but the room was on the other side of the hotel and night club music kept us awake until well into the early hours also the last visit the bed...

Hi Lynsey F, I was very suprised to read your comments especially as we have had no reports of this event at the hotel. We take all comments of this nature very seriously and I have checked back through our records and find no evidence of contact from anyone alleging this. I would ask you to check you have the...

The Mercury is ideally located for visiting Glasgow city and then that is it. The room we were allocated was so small you couldn't swing a cat. Looking out onto an adjacent wall there was no view out of the window! The room itself was clean but really tired. Haven't seen this sort of decor since the 90s and I...

Hi Dav7266, Thanks for the review and I'm presuming you mean Mercure in regards to the hotel. Our rooms are compact and that is widely publicised on here, I wouldn't advise cat swinging anywhere though to be honest. We are due for a refurbishment so hopefully plans will be made this year, we have started with our room doors being...

Hotel rooms are very small, wifi didn't always work, rooms and bathroom a bit run down and little space to unpack. However, good hotel if just looking for a cheaper place to lay your head and beds were comfy.

Hi Samantha G, Thanks for the review. I realise our rooms are compact and that is widely talked about on tripadvisor, I am surprised though about the Wi-Fi this normally works very well. Please come back and stay again soon when you are next in Glasgow. Kind Regards Dan

First time staying at this hotel but certainly won't be our last. Staff are super friendly and room was spotless along with possibly the largest bed I've ever slept in, buffet breakfast was also great with plenty of choice. Hotel is also in a great location for all city centre locations.

We came in for some drinks as all the bars nearby were very busy. We managed to get seats without any problem. The bar is in the reception area and is pretty lifeless - there is no atmosphere and in general it is quite uncomfortable. Bar service was quite slow as the staff were trying to fulfil wine orders that...

This is the second time I have stayed here, the first not being memorable. This time was not good. Check in was fine and easy, staff were pleasant. Room seemed okay however bed kept moving as you sat on it. The whole ambience was tired and there seemed to be a general lack of maintenance. What had been repaired looked...

Hi welshhoppy, Sorry to hear you found the bed uncomfortable, these were changed in 2015 so I will get our maintenance team to look into it. We are a very central and urban location so a car alarm going off in Glasgow City Centre is not our remit, sorry to hear it went on for so long I am presuming...

Arriving at this hotel on a business trip, the reception received left a lot to be desired. Receptionist initially was on phone, then when off phone welcomed me ..... before proceeding 3 further calls whilst checking me in ..... this is not acceptable. I had a query about a local restaurant (only about 4 minutes walk away as it turned...

Hi marshga, Sorry to hear about your check in experience the guys generally get good feedback so I will definitely be looking into it. Sorry to hear the apology was not enough either. The room cleanliness issue has been dealt with and again I was suprised, we now have a tablet auditing system to help improve cleanliness in these areas....
