stayed here for my boyfriends birthday and absolutely love this hotel, one of the best in Glasgow. It is super modern and high tech with an ipad that controls all elements of the room. Room super clean and bed is soo comfy. Hotel is a bit further away from main city center but also walking distance. Check in on the tablets is a bit of a let down as many werent working and caused some people quite a bit of issues trying to check in, ended up having to check in manually through the woman there anyway, make sure you bring ID. Also keep in mind the hotel bar only sells craft beers, no named ones such as heineken or tennents which is a bit rubbish for such a huge hotel. Overall loved my stay here and will definitely be back, staff are all lovely
Fine relatively new hotel. Fully automated check-in reception. My room was fine but, as expected, boring. Bed in front of the window. So if you want to enjoy the view you will have to cross over the bed. It is not located in an exciting area, but the heart of the city center is reachable by foot
We’ve used citizenM before and loved it hence booked Glasgow. Whilst the staff & ambiance is 5 stars unfortunately the hotel was a bit disappointing. Elements of our room were “tired”. Chipped tables, back rest of bed had a very thick layer of dust, bathroom floor stained & sadly no fridge (which was on the spec). The corridor to our room looked like it hadn’t been hoovered for ages, & rubbish lying around. Sorry Glasgow CM was disappointed with you.
All staff were super friendly and efficient. Great hotel room and ideal location in Glasgow. Walking distance from everything you need. The reception staff and bar staff working the evening of Friday 5th Aug were fantastic and are great at their jobs!
Stayed here one night at the end of July as I like the CitizenM brand. I've stayed in two of the London hotels and the one at Paris Gare de Lyon previously. The Glasgow hotel is looking a bit shabby and dated in comparison with the London and Paris sites. The white pleather trim around the bed is now a little dirty . The tech - whilst probably cutting edge 10 years ago when this hotel opened - now looks a bit cringey and dated. It took over 5 minutes in our room for the ancient ipad to boot up. The shower gel and hand soap containers just had a dribble left so had not been replenished in a long time. Having said the above, the location of this hotel is great and I enjoyed my visit to the bar.
Denied an early check in, and when arrived at the provided time the system was down so I had to wait another 2 hours to even check into my room. I know this was out of their control, but it had been one thing after another with traveling and it was the icing on the cake. Other than this it was a great stay, and loved the high tech luxury feel of the room. I also had an amazing view of Glasgow!
A nice wee trip back to the hotel we used to go to before we became parents. The were only a couple of wee things that I would say could have improved our stay. The first was the climate control in the room, we would have liked for it to be cooler or more air-conditioned.Secondly, and this is a small thing the media on the TV is lacking these days.
Brilliant hotel. Stayed in July for 1 night with my teenage daughter. Rooms are perfect for a one or two night stay. Mood lighting. Watch your own Netflix etc through the tv. Impeccably clean. Friendly and attentive staff. Needed to request an additional pillow was delivered in about 10 mins by a member of the team. Cannot fault this hotel in anyway. Stayed back in 2018 and it’s still as good as it was! Thank you very much
A really good place to stay. Would definitely stay there again and also it seems a good place to have work meetings or even other functions. breakfast was great and the bar area is really good and relaxed.
A weekend in Glasgow. I would return, but wouldnt have as high expectations next time. Friendly staff, helpful when our toilet broke and had to change rooms, apart from we had to make our own way downstairs even though it was after midnight to change keys. A simple gesture of someone popping up would have been nice. Not a patch on Amsterdam Hotel my husband says. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
