What: 64 apartments sit within a beautiful Edwardian building that was formerly the headquarters of the Anchor Line Shipping Company (a transatlantic passenger service founded in 1855). Our design takes inspiration from this and the opulence of a 1920s ocean liner. Best bits: 24-hour reception, two on-site restaurants, and George Square on your doorstep. In the rooms, we’ve kept original features intact – with terrazzo flooring, timber wall panelling, stunning fireplaces, and original safes sitting pretty. Why stay: This is the perfect base to explore Glasgow from. Packed with history. Updated with stylish design. Getting here: Glasgow Central Station, Queen Street station, and Buchanan Street subway and bus station are all a 5-minute walk away. Glasgow airport is a short 20-minute taxi ride. If you’re driving then there’s plenty of space at the nearby NCP car park.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Once again, we had a fab stay at Native Glasgow. Friendly and welcoming staff. The apartment was great with good kitchen facilities and the added bonus of a washer dryer. Excellent location within walking distance of great restaurants, shops etc. Thank you to all.

Great location, great room, great staff. Easy to book (booking.com). Will definitely stay here again. We stayed in a "studio" apartment complete with a kitchenette and seating area. Very modern and clean. WIFI was easy-to-connect and worked well.

Second time here, great location, spacious apartments..love it. Central location, with all your eateries , pubs etc all within walking distance. We used this as a base to explore the city as well as having a night out at the Hydro. First time staying with Native. Fantastic location, lovely building, very clean and comfortable room. The chap on reception was beyond friendly and welcoming. Check-in and out couldn’t have been simpler. Bed very comfortable. Location wise, it’s perfect. A 2 minute walk from Queen Street Train Station. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant next door which was great and wonderful cocktails another night on the other side. There’s so much to see and do. I didn’t know anything about Glasgow before our visit but the scale and beauty of the place took me aback. Be sure to book yourself onto one of the city walking tours. It was brilliant at giving some highlights. The City Chambers Building is less than a minute from the hotel and offers 2 slots for free tours most days. Inside is pretty special and not to be missed. Hotel wise, my only constructive feedback is about something somewhat beyond the hotels control. We stayed for three nights and every night in the early hours the pub next door emptied their glass bottles, presumably to be recycled. I can’t tell you the racket it made. It became a source of laughter. I don’t suppose some sort of sound proofing is an option given the age of the building though.

Staff were extremely helpful and nice. The room was clean and beyond my expectations with breackfast included, tea/coffee making facilities and fresh milk. It was like a studio flat at hotel room prices. I enjoyed my stay and would reccomend.

I loved my stay at Native in Glasgow. As a lone female travelling for business the apartment was stylish, welcoming, comfortable and spacious and located perfectly for both Queen Street Station and Glasgow Central as well as the cities shops, restaurants and theatres. Reception staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and I would not hesitate to stay here again when I work in Glasgow and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

This is a very nice apartment hotel, with tastefully decorated rooms and a great location. Staff, whether on the phone or at reception, are friendly and helpful, and make a great stay even more pleasant. We read the reviews about rooms above the neighbouring pub, the Counting House, and how loud they could be, and a quick call to reception ensured we were on the other side of the hotel in a quiet location. Two observations to share with management: 1. Collapsible luggage racks really should be provided. It's a hotel. People have bags and need someplace to put them, ideally other than on the floor or atop furniture. Seems like a fairly basic requirement. 2. The kitchen is well equipped, but the addition of kitchen roll would not only be convenient but could also perhaps encourage guests to keep the kitchen area tidy. Other than those two quibbles, it's a great place to stay. If you're driving to the hotel, be advised there is no where to park and if unloading, be prepared to have one person remain behind the wheel of the car, as all the nearby areas to pull over are high-fine no parking zones.

Almost impeccable ... the location right in the middle of the city, the size of the apartment, the helpful staff etc. I liked the "sensible" service meaning you get room service, if you require it, but you won't be disturbed by the maids in the morning. The bed was comfy, furniture and design sophisticated, kitchen and bathroom fully equipment. Well, there could have been some more hangers than just four in the wardrobe :-) But besides everything we needed was there or was added immediately on request. The only thing we actually did not like was the noise of rolling beer casks under our window every morning at 6 a.m., once or twice even at 5. The source of the evil was a cellar on Anchor Lane, from where one of the local breweries distributes their product to the pubs every day. If we had kept the double windows shut, the noise would have been reduced to a distant thunder, but unfortunately we are used to sleep with fresh air coming in.

Fantastic friendly team who made our stay a pleasure. Great accommodation & facilities and a central location. Everything we wanted to do was in easy reach by foot or public transport. Slept really well in the comfortable bed! Black out curtains helped & the triple glazing made it surprisingly peaceful
