Friend travelled through from Glasgow,having already booking a room for the night and payment taken from his bank account..On arrival was greeted by a man in overalls,who had been joined by another man who took our details (for covid trace and traxh)confirmed payment ,wanted I'D. Which was given by both of us in forms of bank cards. When they said that they were taking photo copies ,said no chance. Finally the night staff emerged From a car parked in car park to go on computer then to ask again for photo I'D explaining did not have any toon was paid for but still got turned away,money still not refunded. Pending. This was not stated on website when booking room,the whole attitude of the 3 men at front desk was disgusting.. in these hard times you would think that any business cannot afford to be turning away business.. I would not recommended this establishment to anyone....Customer service - None..…
My sister in law and I went for a wee break from the men and stayed at the Beveridge park hotel for 2 nights. First impressions were not good as they take in homeless people and got worse when we got the room. It was dark, dirty and smelly. I know we got cheap deal at £40 a night for the 2 of us but we expected a clean room. Complained to the lovely Chloe on reception and she couldn't be more apologetic and offered us a double rm as that was all she had left. We decided to have a look and it was much better brighter cleaner and bathroom was huge and really quite nice so we decided to stay. The staff were extremely helpfully couldn't do enough for us especially Chloe who was run off her feet doing everything from checking people in to cleaning rms seemed to be running the hotel single handed.Danny another member of staff was helpfull to by suggesting places to go to eat and places to see. Breakfast is continental and is ok. As I said the hotel takes in homeless people but they are kept to one side of the hotel and were no problem. Hotel is very rundown but has great potential. In a great location near all amenities. We are not fussy travellers all we look for is clean room, clean bed and good food. Although this hotel badly needs updated we would go back as location is good and staff are very helpfull Thank you Chloe and Danny for making our stay great x Dianne Walton + Anne Allan…
