During our Scotland roundtrip, we (couple with 16-year old son) stayed 2 nights in the Dunedin. This was our best B&B experience in Scotland! We liked the modern designed and very clean rooms, the excellent breakfast and the very helpful recommendations where to eat and shop and what to visit . Yvonne and Les were perfect hosts and we plan...

Dear KlausRockster, Thank you so much for your very kind review of Dunedin. To say we are the best B&B you have visited in Scotland is high praise indeed. It was a pleasure having all three of you stay with us and we hope we helped wet your appetite for visiting the rest of Scotland's beautiful countryside. We appreciate your...

One of the worst B&Bs I have stayed in. I was given a twin room which was fine, but there wasn't an ensuite and in order to go to the bathroom during the night I had to take my room key with me - ridiculous for a single woman on her own. The bathroom was of a very low standard...

Dear Spookiepixie, It would appear that we have disappointed you during your stay at Dunedin and if that is the case we apologise, but would like to respond to several comments: When your father booked the rooms he was informed that one room had en-suite facilities and the other room (yours) had a private shower room. If you feel the...

A fantastic find. Dunedin is definitely the best B&B we have stayed in anywhere. We were warmly greeted and then shown to an immaculate room. The decor was contemporary, but still felt warm and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. The food was beautifully cooked and very tastefully presented. Yvonne was an attentive and very interesting hostess. We will certainly return on...

This was our last stay during our round trip through Scotland. We really enjoyed the hospitality of Yvonne&Les. As somebody mentioned earlier, Yvonne is like a travel agency, she knows every single sight, bar, restaurant etc. within a radius of 100 km (at least). Breakfast has been delicious and we especially liked the neat and modern design of the rooms.

Location and quality are two words that stand out in my mind when I think of Dunedin B&B in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. And I am not sure in what order. My wife and I stayed there for two nights in May and could not have been happier. We were able to visit the shoreline north of Kirkcaldy (up to St. Andrews)...

Dear Brooklyn45, Well....what can we say!!! Thank you for choosing to stay at Dunedin in the first instance and thanks again for such a comprehensive (and glowing) review. From the moment we arrived, a bit bedraggled, at Dunedin's doorstep after a long, fruitless search for a night’s lodging, we felt like welcome guests. During our three weeks traveling around Scotland, Les was the first host to help us upstairs with our bags and the room he showed us to was light, spacious and its minimalist décor very soothing....

Dear Mainewriter, Thank you so much for your review of Dunedin - your kind comments are greatly appreciated as is your comments on the less well documented areas and attractions that Fife has to offer visitors and we are delighted if we managed to make your visit to Scotland that little bit more special. Stayed here for two nights in early March. Yvonne and Les were perfect hosts. Very comfortable room in the minimalist style but had more than sufficient space for luggage. Acceptable courtesy tray but decaff would be appreciated next time! Bathroom absolutely fine. Breakfasts superb! We spent a weekend break in Fife, away from the busy city. Yvonne and Les were very friendly and welcoming, giving us some great inside tips of what to explore in the region.
