Comfortable and affordable stopover for our family of 6 plus dog. Helpful reception staff gave advice on buses and taxis when our car broke down. Would have been perfect if we could turn the heating down at night!
Booked 6 rooms for 11 guys to share Normally double and a single bed in rooms but there was only double beds Staff member refused to give fold up beds Also told two of our guests that their room was not available and made them buy 2 2 more rooms.
This was our first visit to Travelodge Glenrothes. The location was ideal for visiting the surrounding area. There was a McDonalds across the road which was handy. Our room was clean and spacious and if we needed anything extra all we had to do was ask at reception.
Our stay at this lodge was v,good. The layout ,etc , conveniently situated on the edge of the town. Room excellent , clean fresh sheets, towels . TV a good size . Room heated up quickly . Good size desk and the overall room in a good state of decor. All Covid rules acknowledged . Felt safe here during our stay .
It's difficult to write a review these days without focussing on COVID19. Arrangements here were good. I don't know whether they were offering breakfasts, I suspect not. My room appeared clean and was not entered by staff for the duration of my stay which is a good thing. Car parking was free and plentiful and appeared safe. The hotel appears popular with workmen, presumably working in the area and the only 'Covid breach' I witnessed was two of them using the lift at the same time. Not really something Travelodge can do much about.
