Went for dinner here last night. Didn't have a reservation but was able to get a table- well it was a booth which was even better! Service was excellent and food delicious! The fajitas were first class. Looking forward to going back soon!

On my return to Edinburgh, we organise a family meal at The Hampton. This was our 4 occasion and we were all very satisfied. The meal and bar service was excellent, friendly and most welcoming. The waiter and waitress service was very efficient, special thanks to them for making the evening great. The food choice was good and varied with...

I stayed here on business, and had a reasonable stay. The food was lovely, the staff were helping and good service. The hotel was generally good let down by the heating going off early on a cold February evening in high ceiling room. The bar closed and staff disappeared at 11 which ok it was a quiet evening. I found...

Went for lunch with some friends and found the service to be friendly. Not much atmosphere and the food although wholesome, was pretty ordinary. Ok for a quick pub lunch. Don't think I would hurry back though.

had a bar supper here recently but found two things disappointing. The music was too loud but when we asked for it to be turned down so that we could chat easily with our meal, we were told that was not possible. I ordered a steak pie but what I got was some steak, well cooked with Belhaven Ale bur...

I would have scored 3.5 but TA doesn't let us so I've rounded upwards rather than down. Mostly due to the really friendly welcome and also because 3 seems bit miserly for what was a nice stay. So, why any dithering? First of all the plus points: Very friendly, from our first welcome, through to evening service in the bar...

Considering i booked this place last minute. The day before actually, it was £75 for two people, one room with two small very comfortable beds, this also includes breakfast in the morning and what value for money it was, for one the hotel looks very good, very posh in my opinion. It also has a restaurant on the bottom floor...

Well priced small hotel close to Edinburgh city. Beds were comfortable and the room facilites were better than expected for what you pay. The breakfast was quick and tasty. The only inconvenience I experienced was the size of the ironing board as a business traveler.

Unbeknownst to us, our last-minute visit to Edinburgh coincided with the start of the Royal Agricultural show, and finding nice rooms was almost impossible. We managed to get a booking for our first night at the Hampton. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were at the back, so there was little street noise, and the drapes kept out the...
