This is a hotel with breakfast, but it is more like a big friendly house. WE had a nice room, and very good cooked-to-order breakfasts. They sold us bus tickets and gave us a map showing many sights and even some local places. On the last day of our stay we had to depart before breakfast so there were 2...

Received a warm welcome from Annette who provided us with helpful information about transport into the city, nearby places to eat and the top tourist attractions. Over the ensuing days my wife and I settled into Ceilidh-Donia and felt at home. A most pleasant part of the day was to return to the hotel after dinner and join some of...

We stayed at a hostel our first week in Edinburgh and I wish I had found this place instead. It has the energy of a hostel but it's for a much older clientele who like to party and to chat with one another. We had a very clean and private room (a little small for two); towels warming on the...

Dear Revieweee Many Moons of thanks for your Fabby review, I see you stayed in a Hostel for a week but you thought your Room was small ! ?, as with all Town House Hotels they were made as Houses so the beauty of these Hotels is that all rooms are different shapes and sizes and in our Hotel all...

The hotel is in a residential neighborhood a block off the #30 bus or a 7 minute cab ride from Waverly Station in the shadow of Arthur's Seat, the highest point in the city in Holyrood Park. We found the staff open, friendly and helpful. There were snacks in the evening and the breakfast was fine with full meal options...

Dear Reviewer Many Moons of thanks for your brilliant review, at The Hotel Ceilidh-Donia we are always trying to improve what we offer the sometimes weary traveller and when check out time comes there is never any extra charges for credit card use, left luggage, Breakfast bag to go in the morning for early departures, hhhmmm in fact when you...

Our stay was pleasant. Until we left. My girlfriend and I booked online. The online service had booked us in twice by mistake which had also been paid for twice. We noticed the mistake before we went and advised the staff/owner of this who advised they would keep our booking documents and call the online provider, as we had been...

Dear Reviewer Thanks for your honest but very misjudged viewpoint, we have never ever done such a thing as you have described with any of our Guests and may I say your comments are unfounded and extremely hurtful. We decided as Hotelier's never to ask for Reviews to be taken down as Guests are entitled to their opinions but please...

Dear Reviewee Many Moons of thanks for your Sparkling review of our Wee Hotel. It sounds crazy to say this but we very rarely travel around Scotland or the UK so we are not experts on what our Guests experience on their travels. We stayed here for four nights in September. This is a charming and very clean inn. The couple who own the inn are friendly and very accommodating. The inn is located outside of the city centre, so it is very quiet and located in a charming neighbourhood. Would definitely stay here again.
