We stayed in this hotel last year and were delighted so booked again. We've just returned from a very disappointing 3 night stay. We had breakfast every morning and the food is being kept hot too long and is very dried up. On the 3rd morning my seat was spluttered with the previous evening's food, I had to change the...

Since we have stayed at Premier Inns in two areas of England in the last few years, it was a no brainier to reserve three nights at two different locations (Princess & Airport). It is a reasonable, no frills, comfy beds, hotel, with a restaurant. We had the hot/complete breakfast the first morning and were not impressed. Food looked like...

I have come to rate Premier Inns very highly in recent years and this one has done nothing to change that view. Everything about this hotel is good and the comfort of the beds is excellent. The evening meal menu is not really to my liking - a bit fast food, but the staff do what they can to improve...

Premier Inn's are a mixed bag but after a stay here for business I am a true convert. The rooms are clean, well laid out and beds incredibly comfortable. Check in was great and the welcome was great. Overall a great experience.

Second time staying here. Perfect location, staff were always kind and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Rooms were clean and tidy. We only ate breakfast but that never disappointed, plenty of choice. Car Park is five to 10 minute walk away which is no problem and the premier Inn have a deal with it. If you...

Had a fantastic stay at this premier inn, easy access to shops and only a 10min walk from station, lots of benches along the route to have a wee pit stop if your carrying bags. Warm and friendly welcome by staff, very modern and even though in the heart of the city rooms are very quiet no traffic noise to...

This was our first stay in a Premier Inn and we were very impressed with our stay. The location is perfect, it's within walking distance to most of the tourist spots and bars/restaurants. The food is good and great value for money. Staff are all very friendly and happy to help. We would 100% recommend this hotel and we will...

This is one of the nicer Premier Inns we've stayed at. We were in room 423. It was very quiet, no street or inside noise and the most beautiful view of the castle (our view from our room shown in the pix). We didn't eat at the hotel. There's a Starbucks right next door and McDonald's down the street. It...

It was out first trip to Scotland. We received a warm welcome and excellent service from the staff at this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were all, without exception, so helpful with information / directions / etc . A huge thank you to all the staff here and will be staying here again when next we visit.

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
